"New" 2017 - Good price?
Hi, I am new to the forum. I'm internet shopping for a Z06 and found this one.
https://www.stingraychevrolet.com/in...yu2d60h5605631
I live in Florida, so I wouldn't need to ship it.
I have read in other threads about people getting $20K off of 2017s. What would be a reasonable price for this car? Is $20K off crazy or possible?
Thanks.

First of all, that is a killer color combo. ~10% off of a 2017 car (almost 3 MYs old at this point) doesn't sound like a good enough deal to me. When I was in a similar bind, I went to KBB 'my car's value' section, and checked the value of a hypothetical 'used' 2017 with very low miles (50-100 miles) just to get a bearing on what the price point for an almost new, 3 MY old car looks like. I used that data point to negotiate with the dealer. Some may balk but you only need that one dealer to meet you half way.
I've been shopping for a Z06 since early this year. I found about 3-4 cars across the nation where the dealers were willing to take ~80k or less for a leftover 2017 and all of them got sold before I could zero in on the deals. I bit the bullet on the next car that was priced similarly and walked away with a 2017 for 77k. While these sort of deals exist, it really depends on your time horizon and budget preferences. I personally like to take my time with these sort of cars and don't mind 'settling' for a lightly used car, if it means I can have some change left over for mods, etc.

It's a well equipped car but it is 3 model years including '19. The other thing is FL dealers don't usually discount all that much. Have you looked at some of the other big-dealers' websites? There's all kinds of reasons to buy this car, but there's also good reasons to buy another from a different dealer. All you have to do is subtract about 1500 from the price (the cost of possible transport to you) and see what you can get for it. But that's just me talking.

I got my 2017 for 20% off in May. Surprising that that color combo w/ options has not sold yet. I would definitely try and negotiate it down and worse case walk away if they do not.

Four weeks ago Betten Chevrolet in Allegan Michigan (I know it’s a bit of a distance from you) had a silver 2017 Z06 and was offering it at 25% off sticker. It was my second choice (I found a 2017 Black Rose Metallic Z06 that I got almost as much off the sticker). I suggest you keep looking or negotiating. Now is the time of year to find one somewhere in the north that a dealer does not want to keep through the winter.

Melting Slicks
Even at the same price I would personally prefer a low mileage used that an individual has taken good care, garaged and had oil changes according to the owners manual. These "new" have most likely have never had an oil change, probably have a few wild test drives too with no break in miles. Oil is suppose to be changed once a year regardless of mileage. And it's probably been sitting outside in the weather for three years. I won't leave mine out one night.
