Can't you make a deal with a coyote to smuggle a Range AFM disabler across the Cali-Arizona border?

I purchased the first one from Summit Racing to put into my ‘16 Corvette. The second from Range for my ‘18 Escalade. I have had zero problems with either one. I highly recommend them. The latest versions have upgraded software that do not throw codes or drain the battery. I do keep a battery tender on the ‘Vette tho as I don’t drive it as often as I should.

When does all this shudder problem begin I have a 2019 Z and it is smooth fast shifting no problems what so ever knock wood. Not crazy about tires and rough ride though. Anyone make all season for this vehicle.
Thanks

I have been following the issue ever since it has been reported and it varies as to when It begins, but typically it is by 15,000 miles. Most I have seen have been around the 8,000 to 12,000 mile level. And I would estimate, and I do mean guesstimate, about 5% tops will experience this issue. And Michelin manufactures a All Season for your car. I have tested both the run flat and non run flat version and there is no detectable difference in ride or noise. I have had 5 flats in my 82,000 miles and was really glad I had the run flats. (ZP). Never had an issue with my A8.

I threw Alpin PA4s on and man what a plush ride. Quiet, soft and no tramlining. Not all season tires but I had them out in 50 degree weather and they stick. Cant wait for some snow.

Easy with the all out panic...

late 17 all 18 and 19 have the revised LV fluid and do not have shudder issues. If theres a problem with any if those examples it's not the 15 to mid 17 shudder problem due to TCC issue (which is because of the trans program and old fluid.)

Interesting that the new TSB includes 2015-2019 model years. When I had my 16 in for service there were 2017 and 2018 models with A8s being serviced. Just saying, make sure you monitor your car for the issue.

Only in California do they dream up stuff like this. Meanwhile, Asia probably pumps out more pollution in a day than the U.S. does in a year...

If your dealer has enough Vette techs, 2 or 3 days is about right. The usual problem is two-fold: they don't have enough techs and your TC is a warranty job so the profit to the dealer is minimal compared to regular service work. I set mine up way in advance and got them to commit to a no charge courtesy car. It took almost 4 weeks and would have been longer if I hadn't demanded to see the General Manager...then things got done quickly. And, this was at a good dealer...

Are you just flushing it or replacing the torque converter? My response above was for the TC change, not a flush.

Thanks for the reply! I told them what happened to my car and they said they have to test drive it and see what really going on. I have not ask them to change the TC. Can you tell me what to say if they just gonna flush it ? I'm pretty bad at dealing with people.

It depends on how bad the problem is. Generally, they will go for the triple flush first and see if it cures it. That's what we did with mine but it didn't fix the problem. I went back to them with a complete written description of what was happening along with a copy of the TSB that describes the conditions for the TC change and exactly what the procedure is. I made sure the tech got all of the paperwork and my description of the problem. Let them do the triple flush and see what happens. If it comes back, do as I advised above. It's more of a situation of telling them what they have to do as opposed to asking them.

How many miles on the car? What year is it? Did you get it from the dealer that's servicing it?
