Toyo R888R on stock Z06 wheels

I too think your wheels are way 😎. I have been watching this thread for some time now thinking the R888s may be my next set. I’m very pleased with my Pirelli’s in the stock sizes but would like the additional traction of the Toyo’s without going to drag radials for the street. When I Autocross and/or track I remount my Michelin Sport Cup2’s on OEM wheels for the extra traction. The Sport Cup 2’s however suck for drag races as I can’t seem to get them hot enough during burn outs prior to the runs and they hold on to gravel picked up on return roads so hard the small stones have to be dug out with a screw driver. Hoping the Toyo’s will be better.
Thanks man!

They fit and stick!
Speedo is only off 2 m.p.h., ride is smother than my city driving MPS’s. The R888r’s stick is better in staight line for certain, (I currently put down 751 rwhp) cornering they seem almost equal, very slight tire noise that my headers and borlas drown out anyways. No tire rub on stock height and they just look better. My tuner suggested 24 psi on rears for going in straight line. 32 cold psi for hpde. I will try them next event along with my cup 2’s and see which one works better on the twisties. Currently I only get 2 -two day events on Cup 2’s about 225 minutes track time before cording the fronts outsides. So I will report back after my next hpde track day.

Arere the TOYOs good in rain?

I doubt it, but neither are pss or cup 2’s. At least for me Rain = Z06 stays in garage and take Uber or walk. Not much to channel water away from road and tire, but I have no first hand experience yet.

Do they stick out far enough from the rim to give a little buffer against "curb rash"?

I feel like it. That's something I worry about as well because I park basically against the curb to give as much room on the other side as possible to avoid door dings. I'm already at work, but it's still dark out. When it's light, I'll go out there and get a side profile pic

I ended up getting the smaller 19inch Z06 reproduction wheels in rear and went 345/30/19. Now I can swap back to original wheels and tires in less than 30 minutes.
I figured whats $500 more for wheels if I am spending a grand on tires. The option to switch back to original when I want is good for me.
