Sure. A driver that has a right foot will probably do better than one without. Other than that, driver doesn't matter. Maybe a little bit on the launch

Don't know why everyone says the a8 is better on the launch. More consistent I agree with but overall 60 foot times with a good driver the M7 is right with the auto.

Just curious, what is the Z06 TC stall speed? i.e. what rpm will the brakes hold before breaking though staging lights? Can't the M7 be launched at a higher RPM off the line? If all factors are even (traction, stock, no mods) it seems that you could launch the M7 closer to optimum RPM (harder launch) than the A8 TC will hold the car before breaking the beams. All of this goes out the window however when it comes to the time consuming part of actually shifting the M7. I have the GS, so I'll just watch.

Sure buddy they say that because it is so true since the A8 has 30 percent more TQ in 1st. The M7 is slower 0-60 one cannot change the facts with a opinion.

there is a reason that most new supercars are auto.manual shifting is old fashioned and slower..sooner than later vettes will all be auto also.that is the future,like it or not,believe it or not.

The Manual is far more fun to drive the Auto's are boring. The M7 with equal power is faster on the roll just need the right driver most are clueless.

No one mentioned the word ENGINE! It puts out the same power M7 or A8!!!!!!!
HAHA fact is the A8 puts 30 percent more power down in first gear than the M7 ! PERIOD those are the facts pal!

except most if not all supercars have dual clutch trans. Because it's better. Instantaneous shifts at ANY rpm, upshift or downshift.

the a8 is one dimensional. Quick shifts 2nd to 3rd. And then 3rd to 4th. Upshifts only.

Agreed that the manual is more fun to drive. Hopefully they don't stop producing it. One thing I love about SVT mustangs is that they don't even come in auto. Corvettes will never do that though.

HUH? Try using some English? 10.99 means the engine turns almost 11 times to one spin of the rear. 7.83 means the M7 has less than 8 spins. Each spins adds RWTQ!

model a fords are fun to drive to,if you are old fashioned. equal power is faster on the roll just need the right driver most are clueless.what is that supposed to mean?well I am 65 years old,have owned 9 corvettes,starting with a 1962,then smallblocks,and big blocks.when I was younger and shifted all those cars.it was fun.autos were not popular because tech was not there and sticks were faster.my A8 Z is the fastest and most fun car out of all my vettes hands down.i can shift or I can leave it in auto and have a blast either way.i admit the A8 need more work to shift like a Ferrari or lambo,but it does a pretty good job for most of vette owners.look at all the drag vids here on the boards.most of them are autos because autos are faster in a drag race.
