The mods list is what I've completed and I'm pretty much done. My 2004 C5 needed more mods and modernization, i.e. leather interior, LED/HID lighting, double-din stereo upgrade, etc., however the Z06 is pretty much done coming from the factory. I just slightly tweaked the performance with the CAI and X-pipe, and the rest were just mostly cosmetic mods to personalize the car.

Thanks. I decided to side-step the black vs. chrome debate completely. I added CCW 505As to my C5 and it transformed the car. I didn't need to go that far with the Z06, but I wanted something darker than the stock Nickel finish, but not so dark that the wheels disappeared. The Forgeline Transparent Smoke finish really pops in direct sun light.

Thanks. Gerry @ CW4L really helped me with my wheel choice and finish. I was trying to match up to the Shark Gray vents/trim as much as possible and the Transparent Smoke is pretty much a dead-on match.

Here's a pic from the Stingray Plant City Corvette show from a couple of weeks ago. This was the first time I had the car outside the garage post-mods.

Thanks. Funny because I never considered a white car or white Corvette until the C7 generation. There is something about the Carbon Flash trim that just works really well, even when I added the Shark Gray vents. While comparing colors/trims/configurations, etc. over the past two years, I pretty much went through 5-6 different color combos. At the end, it seemed as though I always came back to the basics; Torch Red and Arctic White. I liked many of the other colors offered, but when I saw all the different color combos at various shows, the red and white always seemed to pop the most in the Florida sunshine. That's when I realized I was probably over-thinking it and decided to just go with my gut.

Although I would have been happy with Torch Red, the reason I chose the Arctic White is that red Corvettes seem to be the most popular color in my area of the world. Especially, the dark red versions, i.e. LBR, Crystal Red, Monterey Red, Magnetic Red, etc. Although Arctic White has proven to be a top seller for the C7, I really don't see many Arctic White C7s, let alone Z06 models, that much by me. Plus, I definitely wanted the Adrenaline Red interior so in the end it was an easy choice.

Thanks. The Forgelines transformed the car. My daughter came home from college last weekend and saw it for the first time with the street wheels/tires package and loved it. She had only seen the Z06 after I picked it up at the dealership in July so she didn't see any of the modifications until last week and told me the Shark Gray trim and Forgeline wheels are a perfect match.

Bin Buddy sold by Forum vendor CCA. It really has come in handy storing my stuff although I wire in my iPhone for Apple Car Play in the center armrest.

The Transparent Smoke tint by Forgeline goes with any color. Love it on the White. And it sure gets you away from taking sides in the Chrome v Black discussion.
