I store my car from November to April and have never used it and have had zero issues. I'm in the NY area. I'm sure there will be others that say to use it. Usually I just fill the tank, put 35-37psi in the tires, detail/ plug in the battery tender and cover it up.

The advantage of using the stabilizer is it prevents the gasoline from forming into a sludge that can block small passages in the fuel system. If you have ever torn down an old lawn mower carb where the gasoline had been left sitting over the winter you would know what I mean. You have to do more than put the stabilizer in the fuel tank. You have to make sure it gets all the way through the fuel system.

Yes pour it at the gas station when you fill the tank and drive it home so that it circulate thru the system.

Cheap insurance....yes definitely put some in and fill up the tank. By the way do not try and fill it more than when the nozzle stops....overfilling will fill up the carbon canister. It would drain out once you start driving but if it sits over the winter it could sludge up in there too.

Using ethanol free fuel this year, no stabilizer and tank filled to a hair below 1/4.

I've stored cars during the winter (November - April) for years and have always added Stabil. There are those who say it isn't necessary, but for me it's cheap insurance.
