Go black, and never look back.

you guys are so funny-i have never driven this car in salt/snow/slush-and a car wash your kidding right. Remember this thread next time you go to the dealer with a problem like my car overheats and they tell you you should only drive this car in cooler temps but not to cold.

I feel your pain..in a way. I'd be sick over that also. I asked about storing my car mostly how to protect the chrome in the winter time since I park the daily driver next to it in the garage. My fear is the salt, etc adhering even slightly to the chrome on the vette when I pull it in the garage. Lot of "it's only a car" responses. Yea it's a car but to me it's alot of money and I take pride in keeping my things as well as I can.

You going to go aftermarket now or just deal with them or buy a new GM set?

At the risk of getting flamed it looks like what you have there is salt or road treatment damage based on the distribution of the pitting. I have seen damage from pad residue and it concentrates on the outer surfaces (where the material builds up the most). That said it is very disappointing that the wheels look the way they do after so few years and miles. Hope you find something you are happy with, or maybe just get those powder coated. Have you called the dealership where you bought it? They may be more familiar with what is normal in the environment and could be of some help.
