Default C7 Z06 X-Pipe

If swapping in a Borla X-Pipe, will it throw any codes? I was hoping for a slightly stronger exhaust note at idle and low rpm's before the throttle is pushed hard and was debating on adding an X-Pipe if it doesn't throw a CEL Light or void any warranties. Thanks in advance!

No CEL as the rear cats are not monitored. Had one on my Z51 with zero issue. Purchased one 2 days ago for my 19 Z06. Best mod you can buy for a corvette. Exhaust is much louder on WOT and slightly louder on idle. Hurry and buy one before they become very hard to find

It does not throw any codes. If you are getting the x-pipe that eliminates the secondary pup cats, they are unmonitored cats. You just get better exhaust flow. As far as additional sound under idle and light throttle, I don't think it's anything dramatic compared to stock. It really barks when you get on it. Then it wails, much louder than stock. I kind of wish it made more noise at idle, light throttle and cruising along. No warranty issues. They would have to prove a causal connection to whatever issue presents itself to the dealer.

If you are looking for a low speed/ idle rumble yo should also add some aftermarket mufflers on the car, I had the borla xpipe at first and it wasnt enough so I also added the magnaflow 19236 which improved the exhaust note by ALOT, there is always a nice deep rumble even if you just slightly push the throttle, recently I changed to corsa xtreme mufflers and they definitely dont have the rumble that the magnaflows did at low speeds which was very disappointing but they do sound great when you open it up, I would recommend looking into the magnaflow mufflers for rumble, and i also have mine for sale if you decided you liked it. None if the mods mentioned above will throw any codes or void your warranty/ dealerships could care less about the exhaust on your car
