My C3 and C4 were my main year-round transportation in Michigan, and sometimes were my only car. Pulled a boat with both of them, using custom-made trailer hitches. One boat and trailer weighed 3600 pounds.
Got a few comments of, "Nice pickup truck, buddy" when I was taking a lawn mower to one of my rental houses in the back of the C4.
No longer doing that stuff with my Z06, although I'm sure it could be done.

Bought it to drive it. Living in Florida makes it much easier.
It's owner before me put 2900 miles on it in 3 years. He ate the depreciation and got little of the enjoyment. I'm making up for lost time with her. Put 8000 miles on it in the last 7 months. Figure I'll put 15K a year on it plus or minus and trade her in somewhere between 30 - 40k miles.
Many thanks to all you guys out there with bigger pockets than me that buy these cars to sit and look pretty for a couple of years. Couldn't do it without ya! haha

Live in SoCal my 16Z m7 is my DD. 675/724 2300 magnum, kooks, AFE, x tank pulley tuned. My other car is a 14 E350 coup. Both go on trips. 7 corvettes not one was a garage queen. Life’s to short to sit and stare at your car. I was off warranty 2weeks after I got the car. I was passed warranty and they still fixed my gas cover failure . So drive it like you stole it.

I’ve been driving mine more lately. Put a 1000 miles on this month (still only at 3k).
Learned it performs pretty well in the rain on the hills of San Francisco and the peninsula. (Saved me a car wash ha)
Granted, I took it easy in W mode and tried to get in 3rd gear and above. I never felt out of control.
All in all, loving her as a frequent driver, if not daily.
Loved when the parking valet at a big fancy hotel asked me if you can drive the M7 in automatic mode...Needless to say, I had the valet mode PDR on the whole time!

I took it out today, despite it usually being a weekend car, because the weather was nice.
Even had the top off. Forgot how thrilling the experience is ... exhaust on any real throttle -- and my car is just stock except for air filter.
My point is I'm still amazed how doable a DD it is, even the Z (can't imagine the ZR1). Of course, can't really use the power, have to respect it, esp with commuters clogging the highway ...but it's comfortable enough and eats up the highways over the hills where i live like the inclines are nothing (wish I had thought to have the PDR on).
And like Bill, sometimes I use Eco ...

Living in the right climate makes it easy for me to daily drive and it makes everyday a pleasure. I couldn't imagine having to walk by and not drive this car. Feel bad for all of you up north so in honor of you all, I'll make sure I take a drive with my roof off tomorrow, its the least I can do!

My M7 C7Z is my daily driver Mid March through November. It’s awesome. I can’t imagine ONLY driving it on weekends. Nuts.

Everyday!!
Being in south FL, it’s a year round car. I moved here with a 2015 Lexus NXT AWD and figured out real quick it wasn’t needed. Got a 12’ GS that had 10k miles on it and was garage kept. I changed that and upgraded to the 16’ Z A8. With a long commute and decent weather, I wouldn’t have anything else!

Even in the Seattle area, my Z06 is my DD. I put Forgeline wheels with my MPSS tires for summer and mounted the Michelin A/S 3+ on the stock wheels for our wet & cooler winter weather. I'll leave it parked on days where snow is in the forecast but those days are few & far between! I picked up my '16 Z06/Z07 two years ago and have just under 22,000 miles. I definitely need more road trips!
I will be going to Nevada next September for my first time trying the Silver State Classic - a friend has been after me for years to do it and I'm finally going to next year.

Have just under 41,000 miles on my MY15. Drive it whenever I can, regardless of weather. Why not? Only work required has been 3 new shocks -- 2 rears and 1 front -- and a new middle location motor mount. That is unlike my 2017 McLaren 570GT, which needs a new engine, and is being returned to the manufacturer under the NY/CT Lemon Law provision. BTW, McLaren has been really easy to work with.

Years ago my first Vette was a dd down in FL (my only car at the time). The second Vette was also dd for 5 months or so until I started working remotely from home. I still drove that one every other day usually (it was also my only car at the time). Unfortunately, the current car isn't a daily because I just don't have the time. Luckily, the weather around here is pretty decent all year long so I can take it for a spin when the opportunity presents itself. Assuming I don't need to haul something large with the truck or suv.

Burning Brakes
Hi -- as for the shocks, my ride was getting harsher and harsher, and then at the track, the car became uncontrollable. I put the car on my lift and found 3 leaking shocks. As for the motor mount, the dealer found that -- I had no sense it was bad. It too was leaking. Dealer said that it was the first time they seen these problems with the Z06 -- then again, the average mileage of ones they service is around 4,000.

Yup..There are levels to this. I would DD if everyday was a clear and dry day but, I don't get that luxury in MD

I DD mine. It does great. I live in the Seattle area, and have nothing but a smile on when I am sliding the car around in random abandoned parking lot when I rains. It is in no way an issue for me to drive when it is raining. Respect it and you will be fine.
