I’m curious as to what your thoughts are on these. I’m interested in dropping some weight off the front of the car, call it a handling exercise more than anything. My concern is that they will not hold up to the exhaust temps on a z06 on track, what do you guys think? 19lbs less than OEM cast stainless. Don’t want long tube headers so that’s not an option.
Personally, for the time invested and performance of just swapping manifolds I would look at the American Racing mid length headers. They would net you 21 rwhp and 20 rwtq and replace the manifolds and the forward cats, supposed to be stock tune friendly as well. You might save more than 19lbs of weight and would certainly pick up more power over the Hookers.

well I don’t have a for sure weight savings on those for 1 and they are 3x the cost. I just want a low cost weight savings the car makes plenty of power.
Why not just use the catless downpipes? More power, less heat and less weight.
well if I used those on top of these I’d save even more weight. Only 1 reason, the z06 won’t meet sound at the track without those front cats if you have a catless x pipe. So I’d probably have to put the stock x pipe back in. Negating some of the benefits.
Bought them and have a couple track days planned so I guess we shall find out soon enough if they can hold up, they do have a lifetime warranty as well so hopefully holley honors that even though I bought them “new” off eBay and not from a dealership.

A call to ARH would have accomplished what the weight savings would be...Regardless, I truly wish you the results you seek with the stainless manifolds you purchased!
Im not a fan of that stuff other than for maintaining pretty looks, it’s expensive and will probably void hookers warranty. I’m a big fan of heat shield products heat armor, like this.
To each his own. For track use I'd much rather have something that's sprayed on rather than something that might fly off. I lost my grill at VIR because some dummy used magnetic numbers on his car and one of them flew off.

the heat armor shield is held on by wire ties it can’t fly off
Do you have any other exhaust mods? Did a quick search and found one guy who did an xpipe and an akrapovic behind the shorties.

just the Borla X pipe so saving ~ 8lbs only. I need an 11lb Braille intensity battery for $1000 that would save 26lbs and not cause any funky issues like the little 5lb ones.
