Bitter Sweet
Just picked up a 2016 Z06 last week, and initial thoughts are that the car is amazing in every way. Drove 3 hours to pick it up from Florida, and absolutely loved every second of the drive back.
But....... woke up the next morning to find left rear tire at 10PSI. Initially, I presumed that i had picked up a nail on my drive back, however, that notion was shattered when the shop informed me that BOTH rear rims where cracked in multiple spots. Needless to say, I'm terribly disappointed that i didn't inspect the car thoroughly prior to purchasing it.
Long story short, GM will not cover under warranty, so my question to you all is - what are my options?
Does anyone know where i can get a good set of rims to replace, i don't mind going aftermarket with custom rims either. Also, could someone give me the exact size and dimensions of all 4 rims? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for your time and advice.

Unreal.
vendors here are best source. Ice purchased from them before for my C6.
Is car under 3 36 still? Or certified used warranty?

Opinions vary on staying OEM vs replica OEM or aftermarket.
I have the 10 spoke blade wheels on mine. Haven't heard of any with cracking issues like these. They are OEM and were high dollar option until 18 I believe. Maybe look at them also?

Sorry to hear. I’d suggest getting a nice forged set of rims from a vendor here. The bent rim issue seems common in places that don’t take care of the roads.

Despite several posts about bent and cracked wheels, I have so far not had any problems with bent or cracked rims with the original chrome wheels on my 2016 Z06. When ordered they were option Q6B, 19" x 10" fronts, 20" x 12" rears. I have three years on the wheels and live in pothole country, 16,000 miles and still on the original Pilot Sport rubber; not a Z07. (I tend to drive mostly in Tour, and have had the Mag Ride update done which improves the ride in both Tour and Sport). Since many people upgrade to aftermarket wheels, you might be able to find a set of stock wheels available at a fair price. If the wheels are in good shape, not bent or cracked, and the price is right, I would not worry about them. Personally, my preference is to stick with stock wheels. Just my thought. Here is a picture of mine. --Bob

There are several threads on cracked and bent ZO6 OEM rims. Do a search and you will find this is a very common problem with these wheels. A lot of owners are driving around with cracked wheels and don't know it because you won't leak air until the crack moves into the barrel. Yours are cracked from the inside barrel rim, correct? The short story is that the combination of the hard sided run-flats and guys driving on the street in Sport or Track mode. You hit any kind of sharp edge or hole and the shock transmits directly from the hard sidewall and into the inside wheel rim edge causing the cracks. GM may replace the the OEM's but if they do, it will only be with new OEM's which will end up with the same result.
Save yourself from aggravation and but a set of forged (not flow or rotary forged) monoblock wheels which can be had through several forum vendors for around $4K and up. I used Signature wheels from Deity Motorsports. Talk to Khoa and he will take care of you. There's also several other vendors that have quality forged wheels at similar or somewhat higher prices. You might also consider dumping the run flats and going with non RF's like Continental or Michelin. This will end your wheel problems for good.

Seems to be a problem with the OEM rims, multiple threads addressing the issue. Haven't had a problem with mine (at least that I am aware of), but I am just waiting for the ball to drop. Your best best is go with a set of monoblocks, but yes, they are expensive. Or purchase a cheaper set, switch over to non-ZP tires and see what happens. I think if you go with a cast or OEM set again and keep those run flats, you will run into the same issue again at some point. Not sure where you live, but here in NJ, the roads are like moon craters and the chances of it happening are really high. Try to fight with GM, but I would assume they would just blame it on the roads....

I still can’t believe GM won’t cover the cracks, let alone bent rims that show no impact on the tire/rim. Fortunately there is good tire & wheel insurance you can get, some of the best money I’ve spent.
