New dyno numbers/pulley comparison
Just thought I would share my latest dyno numbers with everyone. The graph shows the dyno that was done in December and the one that was done today. Previous mods were Borla x pipe, green drop in filter, catless down pipes, and a 2.31 upper pulley.
I decided to buy the 2.175 upper pulley from Kong Performance to get an extra pound or so of boost and get it retuned to make sure everything was still safe.
Previos numbers were 622 hp and 680 tq. Then just with the switch to the 2.175 upper pulley the numbers went to 654 hp and 732 tq. I can honestly say I didn’t expect to pick up that much, especially the torque. Very, very happy with the results and I would suggest anyone doing an upper pulley to just use the 2.175 over the 2.3. So 654 hp and 732 tq with super simple mods and tuning.
Thanks East Coast Supercharging

Thanks for sharing. I have the 2.3 upper now and have the 2.175 sitting on my work bench. Can you confirm that the 2.175 will bolt right on to the hub without any modifying or machining of the snout. Greg from Kong says it will bolt right up but it seems like lots of guys say the snout needs to be modified?
Congrats on the killer numbers!

Correct. The car was completely cooled down in between runs, so it was a good pull, but 650 whp on a manual car with my mods is about right. I know with just an intake people are seeing high 500's and with a tune into the 600's. I think the 2.175 picks up 3-4 pounds of boost so that combined with the downpipes should make another 50 pretty easily. Most other dyno's I've seen on here with similar mods are making similar power. I was expecting to see 650, I was more impressed with the torque though.

Most of the time people do it because its cheaper, and labor is cheaper too, but the lower is better IMO becuase your getting a ATI Damper which is better than OEM!
$400 is what i paid for lower pulley install, and $550 for parts..

If I did the lower I would have done it myself. The upper I could have done a well but since it was getting tuned as well I just had ECS do it. No reason for doing upper instead of lower. Just decided on upper. Either works fine.

Yes. It's the cats that are the main restriction in the exhaust so really no need to spend an extra 1300 on headers to accomplish the same thing. The headers will sound a little etter due to exhaust scavenging but that of course is subjective.
