GM Performance Intake for Z06
Does anyone know where I could order one of these in stock? I tried several GM sites and they seem to be on back order, or are they discontinuing them. The part # I have is 84152141. Also maybe #84659728. The email I received said it's on National Backorder and has been cancelled by GM. At this time there is no ETA and when it will be available again

When I first started going onto the Corvette configurator site the performance filter was an option. About a month ago it disappeared from the list of options and it is also pretty much gone as an individual part. It may be gone or they might be reconfiguring the part. There was a lot of internet bad mouthing of the part as it supposedly did not deliver the power aftermarket intakes claimed to deliver. The only thing it seemed to have going for it was it didn't void your warranty if a dealer installed it.

Have you called any of them and actually talked to a human being? Gene Culley the owner of Cultrag can really be helpful if part numbers have rolled. He has helped me a number of times when the local dealership couldn't find the part I was looking for or when websites didn't provide correct info. The intake may have been dropped or it the part number may have just rolled. GM really seems to enjoy changing part numbers for what what looks like no reason.

Ordered from Cultrag hopefully it goes through and I don't get an e-mail stating otherwise. I see there on e-bay as a seller with a few left so hopefully one is mine.

I installed mine about 500 miles ago and would rather have spent the money on a set of all season AS3+ tires to enjoy my car more year round. I'd be willing to let it go for 475 shipped to anyone interested.

Mine was free so no complaints. MSRP is $625 which is outrageous for what it is. This saves me the pain of $625, the fear of a GM repair refusal due to aftermarket part and I get 11 whole ponies. Woo hoo!

The BMS Filter is absolutely the way to go. I have experience with it as well as both the GM Performance CAI and the Halltech CAI. Sold both CAI's and am running the BMS filter in the original Z06 CAI housing.

Does anyone have any idea if I do the GM Performance Air Box with the Weapon X intake pipe and ported throttle body would void my warranty?

Careful with that 1.67% pickup in horsepower. It will bite you if you aren't careful....roll into the throttle.

I put a BMS filter in my 2019 Z-06 M7. Best $100 I have ever spent on an air filter. I have had multiple set ups from K&N to AEF. None make as big a difference as the simple BMS filter.
The Window is cool but the bang for the buck is in a BMS filter.

Just got mine back Friday with the new GM CAI. If it wasn't free I'd probably be pissed is I paid full MSRP $625. No noticeable change in sound or HP (not that you're going to feel 11 more ponies in a 650hp car). Like I said before...at least it looks cool.
