After buying carbon flash front and rear emblems and eliminating the red and amber reflectors, the chrome side fender emblem were driving me crazy. I was about to pull the trigger and buy painted ones, but decided to go ahead and try painting mine before spending the money. This was incredibly easy, and I’m very happy with the results. Best of all it cost me zero dollars!
I figured I would pass this along in case any of you want to do something similar.
No more chrome! Covered the red z with scotch tape and used a razor to cut around it. I painted it all black (5 coats from all angles)
Is your car painted that matt black or is it just a wrap? Really looks good! I've seen two Mercedes AMG GT's in factory matt black paint (it's a big additional charge option, several thousand as I recall), but can't remember ever seeing a C7 Z06 this way. Great job!

Thanks! Its actually a wrap (gold-dust black) in a satin finish.
