Default Dyno results of LT4 blower build: 2016 C7Z – A8

Results of stock LT4 blower build: 2016 C7Z – A8

I finally decided to bite the bullet and have my car “tuned”, so I did a lot of consideration and spoke to several different people, and decided on a build plan, using Dedicated Motorsports, in Burleson TX.

These items I already had:
LMR HX, LMR billet thermostat housing with 174 thermostat, LMR HX tank, Halltech CAI.

These items were included in this build:
FED Ported LT4 heads & spring kit, Kong ported LT4 blower w/95mm Zr1 TB, SW special camshaft, TSP pushrods, ARP head bolts, DOD/AFM delete, IWIS timing chain, CHE trunnion upgrade kit, LS7 lifters, ATI balancer, 9.2” lower pulley, 2.31 upper grip-tech pulley, AEM wideband, MMS Wild catch can, AR 2”/3” coated Long tubes, DSX flex fuel kit, DSX low side kit,. Also a ECM&TCM recalibration. No Meth.

Dyno results:
Dyno used is a Mainline “hub dyno”, capable up to 2500hp. I understand that all dyno’s are different, etc. and I don’t put a lot of stock in dyno numbers, but I am sure if I didn’t post them everyone would ask, so I will. I am not sure how comparable the Mainline Hub dyno is with the Dynojet or Mustang, but MPH/Car Weight and DA will tell a much clearer story. Max boost is 14lbs.
On 93 pump unleaded, the car made 690RWHP, 721RWTQ.
On E70, the car made 753RWHP, 763RWTQ.

Matt stated that the calibration/tune is very conservative, and it could easily take a couple of more degrees of timing, and generate more power. Basically he said, try this for a while, and let me know when you’re ready to go faster, it would be easy.

I am hoping to get the car out to the drags on Sunday for a test-n-tune event. If so, I will be running it on 93 until I get used to the newfound power. The diff and axles are still stock, and I am worried about them.

I'm sure you're excited to get back behind the wheel & to take it out to the track.

I am assuming that you mean the fuel cutoff before the shift points?
Either way my best answer at this point is that I do not know.

Awesome build and numbers! Quick question regarding 95 TB, as it is difficult to see in pic but I don’t see adapter plate? Did iyou drill the holes bigger to bolt to snout? Looking forward to seeing track times. Good luck!

No adapter plate used, correct. The holes are close, he just “offset drilled” the holes on the TB, essentially. I will post some pics later.

Also, about the 95mm vs going larger, the builder has done several builds like this, and he stated that he saw no gains going with the larger 102/104 throttle bodies. Figured I would mention this while we were discussing the TB.

I used a Mamo ported 95 as well with very similar results to yours.

Default First pass of the day.

First pass after “tune up”.
Running only 93 octane, not too shabby.

The second pass spun out of the hole, and still ran 9.96 @ 142.

Great job on the build and driving Andy. What wheels and tires on the rear are you using?

I am running the poverty stars (race stars), 18” front and rear.
315/35R18 Hoosier DR2’s.

Here’s a pic from a couple of years ago showing the wheel/tire setup.

Killer numbers....!!

How the hell did they make 753 on E70 with stock injectors and no meth?

I’d be all about that combo myself...

143 mph on stock injectors with no meth is phenomenal.

agreed!
Ans the 143mph was with 93 unleaded. Should do better on E with 63 more HP.
