Finally, we plan to get our #77 Z06 down to Florida 4-7 to 4-19. Other than a trip with a good friend and senior instructor to the Keys with his Z06 for a few days. I was wondering if there are any HPDE events at Florida's most famous tracks? I dont get this chance much as being from Upstate NY the Z usually stays home on our south trips. I figured to ask here, may have a better chance to catch a day than search the internet for one. It will be hard to baby it down there but the car needs to get me and the wife back home 1,300 miles!

I think Central Florida SCCA group has a driving school at Daytona the 6th & 7th and they usually run 4 x 20 minute driving sessions too.

I know Optima will be racing at Daytona on the 12th (road course day), and 13th (autocross). I believe it was a Friday/Saturday event, and flipped, as someone else is using the track the 13th but I'm not sure which group.

Its been since 2009 when we did a Optima event in Pahrump NV as a exhibition car from SEMA \ Optima. Back then it was by invitation only, I think their event has changed a lot since then. Is it like a regular HPDE event where you pay and drive? You've done a few if I remember. I really want to drive Daytona, bucket list!
