Anyone ever use the M7 launch control at the drag strip on stock tires? Curious if it helps pull a respectable 60ft or if it's more of a gimmick. The spring mountain videos don't look too impressive.

I do better with feathering the clutch and easing on the throttle in 1st. I think it’s also less harsh on the drivetrain. Depending on the conditions and prep I may NLS 2nd but usually only NLS 3rd & 4th. Takes a good bit of practice to get your skill up between bogging and spinning. It’s like golf, very satisfying once you get it down. If you really want to do well from a dig you’ll need more sidewall on the rears (18s min more preferably). Tour mode, TC off.

its a gimmick. I have never tried it and never plan to try it based on the videos I saw with the c6zr1’s and c7z06’s. Back in the day it was developed on the c6 as a Charlie Tuna “me too “ keeping up with the Jones feature as the Nissan GT-R had launch control. It works pretty good with the a8. But isn’t worth a crap on the m7. The c7z has so much torque All I need to do is roll off the clutch at barely above an idle and roll into the throttle. On the pdr I have seen very good times doing that.
As pointed out much better to launch without using launch control, takes a bit of practice between feathering the clutch and a bit of pedaling on the gas but once you get it all is good,
