Default Drag radial question

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a new c7 z06 and want to buy drag radials for the car. I have looked and can't find 325/25/20's anywhere. I found out that Mickey Thompson use to sell them, but they have been discontinued. Does anyone know of company that sells this size? If not, what brand and size should I use in order to keep my factory 20" wheels? The car will be driven very few miles per year on the street, so I want something that will hook well at the drag strip when I go.

Thank you!

I got 19s for the rear, gonna try some Nittos on those...

Seems if you want tire options you gotta get a different size rear

Same here with 19 X 12 repo rears and 345 X 19 Nitto's. Also am going to try 18 X 12 wheels with MT 345 X 19's. With a stock car I expect the Nitto's would work fine but if you want the best times use MT's or Hoosiers on smaller diam. rims. Just expect you may have broken stub shafts or spur gears if you plan on doing a lot of drag racing with really low 60 ft. times.

If you go the 18 route you’ll have a lot of choices in tire

I went with 18 x 12 repros in gloss black with Hoosier 335/30/18. Car hooks great and moves out, only issue is, I need to remove the front run flats because at 110+ car gets scary.

Exactly.. now that I replaced the front runflats car goes straight as an arrow and the unsettled feeling above 100 is completely eliminated. Couldn’t be any more happier with it now... hooks and not scary any longer.

What tire did you go with for the fronts?

For the price, I've decided to go with the Falken FK510's, since I don't drive it much or road race it. The Continental Extreme Contacts are good as well.

Was the car wobbly during drag racing above 110mph or on the street?

This really concerns me. I have 19 X 12 rims with Nitto DR's and 18 X 12 rims with MT DR's. Will run the Nittos on the street and the MT's at track. I have the stock Michelins on the front. Have not used either DR set of rims & tires yet due to weather. Has everyone who runs the Michelin run flats on the front experienced this problem with drag radials?

I am running 19"Nitto DRs and I did experience this problem initially. However the more I drove the car the better it became. I also ran 26 psi air in them, compared to 35+ psi on the fronts. After 5k miles, I was able to take it to 150mph several times with no issues

Are we talking about driving straight line or on the road?

If you are getting wheels for track duty and dont want to modify suspension and brake parts get 18 in wheels. We sell mostly Forgestar in these sizes but have many other brands also. Pair them with a MT ET R 325/35-18 and never look back. We have wheels and tires for rear drag setup or complete dragpacks from Racestar, Forgestar, CCW, Weld etc

It was on the street under full throttle, the drag strip might be a lot worse because of the groove. As far as regular driving, no issues there, only when racing or under full throttle.

No 20" options. I have 19X12's. If I had it to do again I would get 18X12's. You have more tire options with 18's vs 19's. The Nitto NT05R's drive/ride great. Even in rain as long as you keep the pressure up around 32psi. I now use MT's which 60' better than the Nitto's, but don't drive well in rain at all. I put the MT's on drive it to the track 20mins away and then drive home on them and put my street tires on again unless I know that I won't be driving the car until the next track day of the week. Under those conditions I just leave the Micky's on it.

Been 161mph in the rolling quarter mile with MT ET R 325/35-18 on 28psi. Didnt feel unstable at all. Been 170mph plus with ET R and Falken Y rated FK510 front 245/4018. Rock solid at 1100/1000
