Default C7 vs C8

I had a 17 coupe Z06, had problem with roof and returned as lemon. About to pull trigger on 2018 leftover new Z06 convertible. I like the car and think it’s great value at 20 off. Am I crazy to do it now? Seeing the pics of C8 makes me wonder. I actually think I like the convertible Z06 better, but can’t help but thinking I’m throwing away some money. I don’t really want the stingray version and also believe the bugs need to be worked out. Also, I’m particular with reclining (don’t like Camaro’s limitations) and I’m concerned with the mid engine that you may not be able to recline as much. Should I pull the trigger and enjoy now?

Two to three years is a long time to wait for a car you might not even like.

Agree, with the discounts and large stock of cars makes sense to buy a c7z vs paying MSRP or more for a base c8 or waiting several years for the c8z.

Agreed... Deals now on a C7Z will be nuts, can even find ZR1s priced well. I would pass on the first year or two on the C8. I did the same with the C7 and glad i did with the headaches the earlier model C7Z had with the A8.

Buy theC7 that you want now. If you decide you love the C8 you can always get one in a few years when prices start to relax.

Do they offer leases on Z's? Maybe that's something to consider.

Figure 3 year lease, the C8Z would be out by then most likely. And even if you wait for the 2nd or 3rd year run of the C8Z, you'll know everything about it with the debut year. Then you can decide to purchase your Z outright (if you lease), or dump it and wait for the 2nd or 3rd year C8Z.

I like how there's soo many C8 threads in the C7 section, 2 days after the C8 is announced lol

I knew everyone is going to get one

I would certainly wait until the complete reveal scheduled for the C8 on July 18th than you will have real facts to deal with regarding your decision.

when the time is right buy the c8 if you like it.

rumor is 25 percent discounts will not be unheard of ..

Seriously? What possible quandary can there be between a car with 650 HP and one that will only offer 500-is and likely not the same handling since it will be the plain Jane base coupe?
