I have a 2016 Z06 A8 (10.80 QTR mile) and 2017 Charger R/T 5.7 Hemi. The exhaust on the Hemi is loud and sport mode is even louder. 8 speed trans is great. Z06 with Borla XPipe screams at WOT and really moves out!
Lucky to have both cars.

Awesome ^^^
My mind is literally blown that so many Z06 owners also have a HEMI powered Dodge in the stable. Nice to see really.

The 5.7 is a stout motor. I also have a 17’ Ram Sport Night edition regular cab 4x4. Has 3.92 rear gears and the 8 speed. Has headers, exhaust, Vararam CAI, ported TB, thermostat, electric fan conversion and tune. Jumps up pretty good for a big truck.

For a all around car for sure. Challenger is basically a two seater even though it actually has the room for four. I think one person on one occasion has rode in the back of my Challenger. I don’t have kids so out of 5 vehicles they are all two seaters lol.

My Z06 is an A8 and my HC is a Charger. Both cars pull hard from a stop but the Z hooks up better. Wider tires on the HC might help. I wish the Z's A8 was as tight as the HC's. Both cars are 2017's.

How I wish gm put the zf in our z's. It would perform a lot better. And I would currently own an auto z. But they didnt, so I went with the manual lol

Winner-winner. Chicken dinner! Love your choices of colors but especially partial to that F-16 silhouette on back wall!

Really want one of these 392 Challenger's...nice pics guys...need to go drive one. I gotta have a manual, so that's put the focus on the Challenger, doesn't seem like the Charger has a manual available, correct? I get my 8-speed automatic fun in my wife's Stinger GT2 AWD, but I have more fun with a manual.

IMO, My ZO6 2019 Vert is more fun to drive than my Hellcat Challenger A8. Paddle shifting the Hellcat with the supercharger kicked in is a hoot. I wish they gave the LT4 more induction noise. Once the Z gets going I'd have to say that hands down the Z is faster. Almost 1000 lbs lighter and those 345's in the back don't hurt either.

I have a 2018 Z06 with a 7 speed manual. I always wanted a Challenger Hellcat automatic and now have one on order--about 4 more weeks. Anyone else have both? I suspect my Vette will be a little quicker: 717HP vs 650HP but the Challenger is 4400 lbs and Vette 3600 lb.
My friend asked for any ideas on how to drive both at the same time......

Just picked this up, no glamour shots yet.
Have owned 3 HCs and two Z06s. Currently have a HC Charger and Carbon 65 Z06. As different as these cars are, they both represent the same thing, a big American middle finger to the rest of the car world. I prefer the Charger over the Challenger. Forty five hundred pounds is more excusable in a sedan, than it is a coupe. Had a Widebody Challenger HC for about 6 months, just never really bonded with it, like we have with the Charger.
If you were racing these cars in a straight line, from a dig, it would be close. Traction would be the biggest factor, as the HC needs sticky 305s, but you still need to moderate the throttle, even more than the Z. From a roll, it would be very, very, close.

Our first two HCs and our ‘68 Charger.

John

Flex,
I agree, although the Widebody (actually tacked on fender flares) and 305 width tires did help the appearance of the car. I always thought they looked under tire’d and kinda like Humpty Dumpty. Also didn’t help that I had one of the originals, a ‘71. Parking it beside a new one, just highlighted how big they have gotten. Same can’t be said for the Charger, since they are completely different vehicles 4 vs 2 doors, etc...).

I would sell what's left of my soul for your '68 Charger.
I've owned 4 new gen Chargers (2007 R/T, 2010 SRT8, 2015 SRT 392, 2016 SRT 392) and I loved them all.
Doing a "widebody" to get 305s is a joke. I have 315s on the back of my 2016 Charger; just needed 11' wide wheels, And the Challenger widebody is hideous. It looks like a cheesy Liberty Walk bolt-on. Dodge should be ashamed of that car.

The chargers are soo much better looking. And more practical too.
