Default Hellcat and Z06

I have a 2018 Z06 with a 7 speed manual. I always wanted a Challenger Hellcat automatic and now have one on order--about 4 more weeks. Anyone else have both? I suspect my Vette will be a little quicker: 717HP vs 650HP but the Challenger is 4400 lbs and Vette 3600 lb.

My friend asked for any ideas on how to drive both at the same time......

I’ve owned both at the same time. The HC was a 2017 with A8. The Z is a 2016 Z07 with M7.

Off the line the Z would be gone, not even close. The HC is really traction limited and heavy. But from a roll they are very close. The HC is an awesome GT car and an absolute hoot to drive. That SC whine is intoxicating as well

Id like to see a comparison against the charger hellcat. I know these do better than the challengers, also have a higher top end.

I have a 2016 Z A8 with bolt-ons and a 2018 Trackhawk AWD / Hellcat engine and Livernois s975 package (it digs pretty good).

FCA left lots more on the table with the Hellcat engine than GM with the LT4 ...

I'm considering getting a Hellcat, there's a purple, uh, I mean plum crazy one at a local dealership I drive past all the time...plus, I'm pretty sure I can fit my three kids in the Hellcat...

Hellcat chargers no joke.

If you can afford a weekend car, z06.

If you can only get 1 car that makes a great fun daily and also can be a weekend warrior, hellcat all day.

I went from '18 z06 A8 to chally Hellcat A8 and recently back to z06 convert9ble A8 . Challenger is a nice car and very roomy and Cush. I will get another challenger but it will be a wide body scat pack to sit along side my Z. Why not both? I needed to build another garage so I would have a safe place to store them. {I have 4 young kids} I'll pick up the chally when bank account recovers. In the meantime I'll enjoy being one of maybe 5 Z06's in town instead of 1 of 2000 challengers

bottom line a hellcat is easily replaced and lived without. A Z does so many thing so good except haul backseat passengers.

I have Challenger Hellcat and C7 Stingray. Not a Z06... but both cars are a hoot to drive. I’ve run both of them extensively on track. As a matter of fact, Vette headed to Hallett tomorrow morning.

I never had a hellcat, but for the record, a Z will usually beat your family diaper backseat car : ) and btw I like Dodges

Well, I have a 2016 Z06 I bought new and just bought a new 2019 Challenger R/T Blacktop with the smaller Hemi. This will be my wife's car and our travel car. Real comfortable car, but it's definitely big and heavy. Stock exhaust sounds great. These are like the old muscle cars. Big and heavy boulevard cruisers. Handle pretty good for a large car. I like it. Nice paint quality and overall a quality build. You will love the Hellcat. I'm sure. Never thought I would have two Dodges in the garage. Love the Viper.

Ordered the car Feb 12th. It was built in 2 weeks but sat in Brampton, Ontario for another 6 weeks before shipping. They are slow with the rail cars. My wife with her new car Saturday.

There is no car built that was made to melt tires like a hellcat, and it was built much better than I thought or hoped it would be. I would buy another

I've always been fascinated by the Chargers. There's just something about a 4-door that you can put the kids and groceries in, and still run with most performance cars. Personally, I'd take a Charger over a Challenger.

I had a HC Charger before the Z. I only switched as I had too many issues with the HC and always had my eye on the Z06 so I took the plunge. I haven't look back. Many are very happy with their HC and they certainly move out well. It was a shame how plagued my car was as I put a lot of effort into finding the one I wanted.

Some owners hellcats live at the dealership, guess I am lucky, not a single problem in 3 years, other than the eating fuel problem.

Not a Hellcat but my other car is an SRT 392. I always figured I'd upgrade to a Hellcat at some point but I am glad I didn't.

The C7 Z06 is a whole other animal than the SRT. And yes, I know a Hellcat isn't a 392 but other than the engine they're the same car. I always felt like my SRT was nice and tight to the road but compared to the Z06 it rides like a pick-up truck. I still love it though.

Congrats on having two amazing cars.

Default SRT Charger vS Z06

My 16 SRT Charger is a great big fun car that you can scare the hellcat out of 4 passengers. The Z06 is a fighter jet compared to the SRT. The SRT is plenty capable but cant hang in the twistys or many other roads compared to the SRT.

For a DD, hellcat.

Weekend car, C7Z.

I'll be getting a rematch with my friends hellcat charger in a couple of weeks so i'm going to get a video. He has more mods since last time so he might beat me but it's all for fun so we'll see. 60-140 runs btw.
