Default Show me your best cell phone setup for C7 Z06

I sold my 2010 Z06 a couple years ago and recently got back into the saddle with a 2019 Z06. Loving the car and nicer interior but there's one logistical challenge: the cockpit feels smaller with fewer places to stick on a cell phone mount. First world problems, I know...

I saw couple mounts which are designed for the C7 and attach to the center console, but those are magnet based and won't work with my phone covers. I also have two phones, one for work (government work so much be a separate device) and one for personal use. So far I've just tossed them into the box with the USB outlets, but would love an easier way to actually be able to access the devices.

What have you all done as far as cell phone setups in the C7? Mine is only 1LZ trim with the only option being PDR, and windshield space is already being used by a dash cam so any pics of how you solved for this would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I use a suction cup mount thing and mount it on the windshield just above the left side of the driver vent.

I only do this when i need to use the GPS. Other than that, no need to have the cell phone mounted, we have bluetooth you know. So the phone stays in my pocket.

This works great stuck on the inside edge of the center hand grip.

Weather tech, the guys that make the floor protector s make a gizmo called the "cup fone". Looks like it would suit your needs. Personally, I just plug mine into the USB inside the console. I like how it connects WAZE to my dash screen. Here's a link for the cup fone.

Definitely the ProClip! They make different mounts that are "universal" so they'll fit phones with cases, etc.

The Pro Clip works great for me also. Good solid product. A bit on the expensive side for a couple pieces of plastic but well made.

Agreed. You are definitely paying more for the R&D time than materials used in manufacturing. I think overall the price is worth it though due to the perfect fitment and look, though.

Same here but with Android Auto. Eliminates the need for it to be mounted.

I have the same setup. Works great and keeps it visible and out of the way.

Plug in your phone in the USB port in the center console and use Android auto or Apple carplay and have your phone screen on the screen on the car informant system like it's designed to do. No holder needed

What iPhone USB plug are you using for the iPhone screen to show up on the car's info screen? I want that along with song control for my downloaded music I have from iTunes on my phone.

You have to get a USB port plug in like a charging cord. Plug it into the middle console port under the armrest, and just leave the phone under the armrest console, and you probably have to download Apple play to your phone, and Boom everything's a wrap from there.

Could've swore it was like a dual combo plug you needed under the armrest. I don't have a pic of what I'm talking about but its not just a regular USB end to lightning cable end. Usually its a split cord that connects iPhones thru the lightning plug to the USB + there's a smaller 3.5mm combo plug that looks like a headphone jack. You making it sound like you DONT need this combo data plug at all. All the other cars ive had, didn't work like that with just hooking up your phones charge cord. You ended up having to buy some car compatible plug for ALL the data to be transposed on the screen and for the music to work. Without it all you got was phone charging ability, nothing else.

ProClip makes the best in my opinion. They are made just for our cars and fit and finish second to none. They clip right onto the brace on center console and you can swivel and do anything with it. What I like is you can adjust to any size with screw sets, as well as adjust tension of swivel. But they aren't cheap you get what you pay for here...
