Lots of funny answers. The main traits most probably have is they are motivated , organized(but not obsessively organized), have Average intellect and use good judgment. For those that make really big money or have accumulated significant wealth there is an element of luck that goes with the above.

as your the original poster on this thread, I am sure the followers of this thread might want to know how old you are and what do you do for a living. .

I absolutely love reading this type of post here on the Corvette forum. I sounds as if you deserve the fantastic sports car that you now own. Enjoy the hell out of it my friend!

I will never retire....own 3 business now and just starting another. Engineer, with a few patents and can't stand sitting in front of a TV....so I keep busy. Corvettes are for fun for me. I don't daily drive them or they become boring. I could waste a lot more money on a Ferrari or Lambo or a Porsche, but why??? I might start to worry about money and that would ruin the fun I have with the Vettes. I have rebuilt them from the frame up, and I have built nice restmods...now I just like to drive but kept a 69 Big Bock to wrench on if I feel like it. I have owned at least 1 of every generation so far. If you have to worry about the money you will not enjoy your car to it's fullest. So make the coin then buy the toys when you have the spare change.....debt on a car like this is a killer of joy.

The original post was both equally inquisitive and in jest. I fully expected some nonsense and am here for it.
As to my age and employment, I am 34 years old and have been in law enforcement for a decade.
I'm an auto enthusiast and have owned a few sports cars through the years.
Im currently looking at the c7 Z. Originally looking at c6Zs but I test drove an auto c7 and fell for the interior upgrades.

23 years law enforcement for me. I've survived some close calls on the job, lived conservatively, saved well, and will have a pension soon.

I had long thought about getting a high end sports car when I retire (in 5 more years), but a couple months ago, I just said WTF. I found the perfect Z06 for me and bought it a week later.

This ain't no practice life.

it is simple, all about choices and I will explain,1 pack of smokes in NY costs $10 times 30 days =$300,add I starbucks coffee a day at $5 acup =$150,add cable TV at $150 and cell phone bill at $150 and you have $750 a month to smoke, watch tv,talk on the phone and have a cup of coffee.my Z payment is guess what,$750 a month and I dont do any of those bad habbitts.i am a retired auto worker single and I can afford my Z where most of my married friends who have 2 incomes and 2 401ks are amazed I can buy 1 and they cant afford one..they make different choices.

The title of this thread states, "These cars aren't cheap". This is a relative statement to which FWIW I disagree. I think these cars are dirt cheap. Where else can you buy a product that will outperform the competition costing twice, 5 or 10 times or more than the Corvette. These cars are dirt chaep and the bargain of my lifetime.

Have you tried removing the roof? Makes most fun thing so much easier!

They are cheap relative to what one might consider otherwise. In absolute terms, they are anything but cheap though. Now a used C4, THAT's cheap
