Please help me time the purchase of a new Z06

Just looked at the Kerbeck site out of curiosity (they are the largest Vette dealership) and they only had 4 2LZ M7s out of about 30 Z's. And of course, manuals way outnumbered autos. Their deals are about the same percentage I got off last August except they have an additional $3k "owner loyalty offer. I am sure that could be dealt with in a negotiation. They had one Blue 2LZ m7, but with black interior - which is what the overwhelming majority of cars have - boring to me personally. The Long Beach Red with Kalahari is also a real attractive combo...
Lots of 1LZ cars, but again, imho, the 2 LZ just makes this such a nicer car and is the sweet spot to me.

She told me the same thing. Yes I could have bought a used C7 Z06. But I wanted it to be only me as one owner. Also plan on keeping it along time. No need for the C8 with me. Plus awesome deal on new.

Had to apologize for my post #18. I put in there I got 16% off for the factory order & meant to say 13% off (went back & edited that #). Sometimes my typing is faster than my brain since I'm oldish!! Hope nobody called Mark crying "but madrob got 16%", again sorry.

Admiral Blue was discontinued several months ago. I got this car with a little luck and a Fed Express check as two other buyers were looking at it hard, including one on this forum who contacted me personally when he saw my post about buying this car. The new blue is also pretty nice imho. Forgot to mention in my post that the '19's also got the latest and most improved programming for the magnetic shocks.

Yes, 2 LZ is the sweet spot for me as well. Do you know if the 10 speaker Bose system includes a sub woofer?

Latest mags like R&T and Motor Trend stating the C8 base (no manuals available anymore) will have 500 h/p for the LT2. Given the same architecture and displacement as the LT1 460 h/p, that level of power was always around what could be reasonably expected. And supposedly starting in the low 60's for a an LT1 stripped with virtually zero options, pretty safe bet than an optioned out Z51 car OTD will be close to, if not just over $70k. And I bought my new 2LZ M7 with some additional options for $76k last August. Buyers now, might get the price on a similarly equipped to my car at about $74k - either way, pretty good deal for the last, most highly refined, 650 h/p '19 FE Z06.
You can get a stripper C7 base for around $44k now. Buyers of the first year (and who knows what teething problems the ME will have) will have to shovel over probably at least $16-$20k more to get a base LT1 coupe, stripped. For most average people, that is a lot of dough. The price of entry to Club Vette is going up, gentlemen. Even once the base ME strippers become discounted in a year or two, they will likely still be in the mid $50's. And should you desire to play with the ECM and tune for our cars, you can. The new cars will follow the path of the '19 ZR1, where it will be a tortuous, lengthy and very expensive PITA to get a tune.
And again, IMO, the C8 "Z" cars will really increase the price delta between our C7 Z's the ME Z's. DCTs, twin turbo DOHC high revving smaller displacement motors, and bodies using more carbon fiber cost more than reinforced small blocks topped with a S/C. My guess is that there will be far fewer of these produced, MSRP prices $10-$12k north of MSRP C7 Z's, and given the lower production and reduced market for level of pricing, far fewer and considerably smaller discounts off of MSRP.

I am not affiliated with them in any way, but I will toot their horn and praise their product any chance I get. I am that impressed with it.

There is another thread where corvettemuseum account said in lieu of the factory tour, they were comping the Touring package on the track. $220 value, for 4 laps in a Z51, and still honoring the factory tour when it comes back online.
Has anyone done this or heard of this?

You're way late to the party, but better late than not at all.
I think I got my '08 vert around the same time as you got your coupe. I've had my '16 Z06 going on 4 years now and it's been problem free other than my heavy right foot wearing out the tires at around 5k miles.

Yes I have. Status = 3000
I'm doing Courtesy Delivery at the local Chevy dealer, so I did not look into the details of Museum Delivery.

Glad to hear you exfoliate your tires regularly and no problems with the '16
