Anyone using Track Addict from HP tuners?
Anyone using Track Addict from HP tuners? I'm happy with the PDR in my 2016 Z06 and plan to use it to record videos. I saw someone at the track (Autobahn CC) the other day using it for a lap timer and I like the fact that you can see lap time while running on the track. I'm not sure if the dash on my year Z06 can display lap times, but I keep it in the mode that displays the digital temp display for water and oil temp and don't want to mess with it during a session.
I've also been having check engine lights on the track and would like to use the HP tuner MVPI2 ODBII module with bluetooth to see what the codes are. Is it possible to use the track addict app to view the codes after a session. I'd prefer not to have to bring a laptop to the track.
Thanks in advance!

I use Track Addict. Recommend buying the OBD II scanner. Plug it in to the plug near the hood release. Download the OBD II Link app on your smartphone.
You can see any codes, clear codes, plenty of other data points. Track Addict will also talk to it for your data overlays. Also recommend an external GPS for Track Addict. I use one from Garmin.

Other than the codes I don't know what Track Addict will do for you the PDR doesn't already do. Take a look at some of the analyses done by Poor-Sha using the PDR data file and the tools from Cosworth.

I was hoping to display lap times. The PDR shows the lap times but it would be nice if I could see them displayed somewhere while on the track. I like to see oil and water temps so don't want to change modes on the cars display.
It would also be nice to log intake air temps, knock retard, etc. Without dragging a laptop to the track.
The Cosworth software is amazing! I love all the info it's able to display. Wish it did a little more with the engine but I'm not complaining.

Hi few questions about track addict, I don’t want it to record the video can I just have it record the road course laptimes for me? And does it do that via GPS and I don’t need to connect to OBDII right?

PDR is not a good lap timer; period. It's a great tool for post analysis, but that doesn't make it useful enough at the moment when you're at the track.
I use RaceChrono, which is similar to TrackAddict. Seeing the delta right as you go through different sections is priceless, and immediately teaches you if what you've just tried was beneficial or not.
