Default Traded in the Z06/Z07

Had the car for 4 years and decided it was time for something different. One of the best cars I have ever owned, but as the warranty comes to a close I had to part ways with it. I am not sure I will be back anytime soon but thanks everyone here for always offering good advice and help with her when needed.

I thought I would be sad about it and even saw a good 5-10 z06s driving down PCH but its just a car and someone else will get some new found enjoyment out of it.

Godspeed

Greg

I'm in the same boat. I had my Z for 3 years but i like new things lol. I am still waiting on the C8 because that'll be another option of what to get next.

So right now i'm just enjoying this car for the remaining 2 years until the warranty is up, then i wanna get something new and great!! lol

Will it be the C8Z? Or the widebody hellcat charger (drool), or a GTR, 911 turbo?? I don't know yet. But it's good to know that there are so many amazing cars out there, you can't be hung up on just one!! Enjoy as many as you can before we all leave this earth.

I'm coming close to same situation. 3 years in October coming up quick.

So buy the extended? Or do something else? Idk how to get the deal I got and own this car with going well over 50k more to get similar performance and that would only net me a ZR1... I have to keep this car because I would crazy to give it up for what? Hang on for 2 or 3 more years and THEN I will take another look. This car is insane for the price. Insane.

Good luck.. wish you well Greg.

That's crazy, extended warranty with only 13k miles lol

How much did the extended run you? And for how many more years?

Glad you worked through your decision. You mentioned that you never drove it anymore due to work and at 7800 miles over four years, it is an expensive but depreciating luxury. The cash is now free to work as you want it, you have counted coup on the C7, a ZR1 would only net you a stopwatch performance improvement, and new possibilities appear every day. Good Hunting!

Extended warranties (when you are coming to the end of the original 3yrs) can be had at a bargain. You can hit a real sweet spot on the price. I purchased mine through Smith Motors in Indiana. It was the Platinum GMEPP.

Enjoy your journey with the next car you own. C7Z will stay with the rest of the cars I own and have had for over a decade.

I purchased something else, but since it isn't a Corvette I feel like I would be cheating by posting it. The older I get the less I need the raw speed of the high end corvettes. I have no desire to get a ZR1 either. I wanted a better stereo, a better paint job, and service with a smile. I did this at the sacrifice of performance. I can live with it though, I am happy now.

Beautiful car. It's not my cup of tea (Mercedes in general I'm not a fan of, but their service has been good to family so I applaud that). I think you will enjoy it though. A co-worker picked one up about a year or so ago. He loved it the last time we spoke about it. The interior is a step up for sure imo but like you said, they don't provide the sensation of power and speed in the same way. I think you will enjoy it and congrats on your purchase!

Very nice buddy, I'm in the same boat, Debating on what to do next, as I'm not sure the C8 will be for me. This mercedes is currently number 1 on my list if I swap to another model.

Did you get it brand new or used? Which trim level is that one? I want the R but they aren't cheap. I'm hoping the Taycan will be mind-blowing, and then I can go that direction and have the best of all worlds with 4 doors also.

Did you get a warranty on the wheels and tires, or just new wheels and tires?

Good luck with your new baby!

Looks nice but the Z06 is faster for half the price in my opinion.

Agreed. It's a gentleman's racer car lol

It has the luxury, the looks, the prestige, the power, the road presence.

What an upgrade. I'm jealous

100% agreed! I purchased warranty bumper to bumper unlimited miles to 2024. I am not even sure I will own it that long, but peace of mind is paramount to me. It really is a special vehicle....THE TRANSMISSION!!! Mother of god...
