Hey guys I just purchased a brand new 2019 z06 8 speed 2lz package and I don't know about this over heating problems that the Corvette has. By any chance does the 2019s 8 speed have over heating problems? I do not track the car I only plan to run it in the drag strip please give me some feed back thank you!.

You don't have a problem enjoy the car.

You won't have any issues... only an issue tracking the car hard in 90+ degree weather. Plus, your 2019 has all the improvements: Taller supercharger lid, secondary trans cooler, larger ZR1 radiator.

As mentioned, you have all the updates so you should NOT have any issues. I have a stock 2016 A8 (in Texas) and don’t have any overheating issues. I do not track but it has seen the strip occasionally with no issues. The overheating concerns (IMO) are blown out of proportion for those of us who do not “track” the car. Love mine and plan to keep until at least the 2nd year into the C8.

And to clarify to OP track means a road course HPDE event... not drag racing.

The A8 still has overheating problems on the track, but if you do not track it you don't really have anything to worry about. Just read the sticky thread about overheating issues to get up to speed.

Nothing to worry about. With an A8, I'd suggest a Range device. It disables V4 mode and mitigates the dreaded shudder issue.

OP: As said above unless you are tracking the car hard +8/10ths, from my research and reading you won't have any problems. The 2019 has bigger cooling components than some of the previous years along with some mixed components from the ZR1. I've only had mine a couple months and came from a 15 stingray. I actually have noticed the new car overall in normal driving seems to run somewhat cooler in heavy rush hour traffic than my base Stingray did, probably due to the bigger radiator and additional cooling. I have also noticed comparing the two, that the temps (water, trans, oil) in spirited road driving on the new Z seems to be more stable and doesn't seem to rise as quickly as the base model did. Again, I'm sure that would be a totally different story with some hard track driving that I will never do, but for street use and normal traffic, the new Z seems to be fine and runs nice and cool.

My friend has a Z06 in AZ with summer temps at 120 degrees, no issues with overheating and A/C works great.

Congratulations with your brilliant purchase. Enjoy.

2019 A8s?

With the bigger radiator they put in 2019 A8s?

Can anyone post an owner stating that fact? Not doubting it can happen but very curious..

Overheating? Not unless you're tracking it. However I definitely can get mine hot enough that it's noticeably pulling power on the highway after a few pulls in a short amount of time. When I get some time the new Dewitts combo unit is going in.

I'm on my second C7 Z06 A8 and have never had anything even close to an overheating issue on the street.
