Supercharged Z06

Burning Brakes
I've got a 2016 Z06/Z07 with 17k miles. I bought it new. The motor is solid. HVAC is crap. It's been crap since day one. The A8 has developed an occaisional shudder with light acceleration on the highway. Dealers have been useless unless you need somebody to take your car out for doughnuts, burnouts, trips north of 100 and to jump rail road tracks. I know several owners, all have had better luck.

They are great cars! Occasionally something will happen but for the most part they're bulletproof. My A/C works great. I had a valve spring break but that's one of those things that can happen to any engine.

As reliable as any other GM vehicle. Get one with a warranty and enjoy.

It depends on what you want out of the car. If you want a daily driver that gets you around for the lowest price and is very comfortable and convenient, I would suggest something else. If you want a toy for fun driving as well as amazing performance for a very fair amount of money, a supercharged vette is damn hard to beat. It will go through tires way faster than your average Camry. You need to drive around pot holes and bad bumps like any other sports car with very low profile tires and very wide wheels, or you will bend and crack wheels. If you track the car you will have to change oil before and after tracking the car, unless you are only tracking the car. But I doubt you will find any car with this much performance that has lower maintenance costs and gives you any where near the bang for the buck. The saying has always gone "if you want to play, you have to pay". With the C7 Z06 you get a hell of a lot of play for very fair pay.

Considering that all Z06's are supercharged, I would say that they are 100% more reliable than the non-existent non-supercharged Z06's
They're rock solid, buy with confidence.

My 15 Z06 is half way through its fourth track season and it still revs nicely to red line over and over and over and over. At least 5 times per lap with about 10 3.3 to 3.4 mile laps per 20 minute session. Have close to 14K miles on the car now with at least 5K track miles and the car is still running fast. Can beat the hell out of them and they just come back for more. My AC also works like a champ.
