Katech's new twin heat exchanger system for C7 Z06
Katech's twin heat exchanger system addresses overheating and heat soak issues on the Z06 by removing the single center heat exchanger blocking the radiator and installing two side heat exchangers fed by carbon fiber ducting. Further increase cooling capacity by adding Katech's splitter/undertray system with integrated engine oil cooler and for automatic transmission cars with an additional automatic transmission cooler.
Includes:
-Carbon fiber grille bezel with screeens
-Carbon fiber heat exchanger ducts
-Twin heat exchangers
-Wheelhouse exit grilles
-Second intercooler pump
-Intercooler reservoir
-Billet supercharger adapters
-Wiring harness with manual run switch
-High quality parker push-lock hose
-Connectors, clamps, mounting brackets, closeout brackets and hardware
Requires Katech brake cooler duct kit (sold separately due to brake type options)
Recommended options:
-Katech splitter with street or race undertray and engine oil cooler
-Katech automatic transmission cooler option
-Dewitts radiator
-Katech thermostat (160F for tuned cars, 174F no tuning required)
-Katech billet transmission pan (for automatic transmissions)

Very clean looking new grille and I like that you moved the TIKT ideas in house.

Very nice!
Looks like there is one cylindrical tank near the radiator on the driver's side. Is there a tank for the passenger side? Is the oem tank eliminated? Are both sides tied into each other? Where is the system filled and bled?
Are you still selling the tikt version as well?
Will the upgraded GM brake cooling ducts work with your system?

We are no longer selling the TIKT version.
You should be using our brake duct kit with the system, not the GM ducts.

Yes, we tested it on the track in our recent video and it performed very well. It was about 80 degrees that day.

1)why chose your kit vs Gspeed or LG other than looks.
2) before and after PDR or other data logs

The z07 oem upgraded brake duct kit seems like it would work fine considering it's at the same location as yours on the control arms. Not be as good but yeah. Just saying.

Cool video, the driver looks like he's never driven on track before and I'm sure your system works but I bet any potential customers would like to know:
1)why chose your kit vs Gspeed or LG other than looks.
2) before and after PDR or other data logs

1. If you're looking for a system that doesn't require cutting the fascia then you'll want the Katech kit. One of the biggest differences is that we are using a grille bezel to pull air through the factory grille opening and LG and GSpeed are pulling air through holes cut in the sides of the fascia.
2. We'll get some data posted. However we don't have before data with the same driver/track.

Yes, the customer was new to the track and I was instructing him from the passenger seat.

That's what I was thinking. I already have the GM upgraded kit with blocker rings and it works good and fits good. No sense in changing it out if not absolutely necessary.

Btw, I've always thought the Tikt solution was the best looking compared to kits that cut holes in the bumper. The price just was a little high IMO. That being said, I really like this new Katech kit!
Will the new splitter in your kit be compatible with the ZR1 wing in regard to the aero being balanced? I like the way the ZR1 wing mounts better than the Katech wing.

Just to be clear is this a no cut solution on the front bumper or does the grill opening need to be enlarged?

Well, I don't have wind tunnel testing on the ZR1 wing or ours for that matter. The best balance would be with the Katech wing. If the ZR1 wing provided less downforce you could switch to our street undertray to reduce the front.

Correct. No cutting to the front fascia to fit the grille. It was one of our stipulations at the start of the design process to reduce installation time.

We modeled the carbon fiber to overhang the grille opening in all directions, making it appear larger. There is a taper in the face of it that basically acts like a scoop collecting air and forcing it through the grille. This is especially the case on the bottom where it overhangs the bottom of hte fascia.

That's great looking... and the no-cut option is great. Only bit I'd mention for track nuts is to have a ABS plastic version so a screw up isn't nearly as expensive to repair.
