Default Low voltage?

I own a 2016 C7 Z06 since it was new.
Just turned 30K miles.
The battery was replaced with a GM battery in April this spring. I had 2 choices and I bought the better more expensive one with a longer warranty.
Went out for a ride yesterday and the system voltage dropped to 12.5 volts and flickered to 12.4. (Mostly expressway driving).
I decided to turn around and head home. As we got closer to home and in more stop and go traffic the voltage came back to 12.8v.
The overall ride was about 40 miles with 35. miles at 12.4v/12.5v and the last 5 miles at 12.8v.
I have a Range AFM disabler plugged in and a GM (Corvette brand) battery tender plugged in.
In the 8 years I've owned the vehicle it has always operated between 12.8v and 13.7v with an occasional brief drop to 12.7v or a bump to 14.0v but never 12.4 and 12.5.

Should I be concerned?
Any suggestions on what I might look at?

Thanks

My 2016 ZO6 (and some other GM cars I have driven, maybe all now) is programmed by GM to drop the voltage down to about 12.8 after the battery is fully charged. This is usually about 15-20 minutes into the drive. Is your voltage around 14.5 during that period? If so, your car is performing exactly as it is supposed to.

If it was your first drive on the new battery, it may just have been low on charge. I would try it again and see if it looks better on a full charge.

I'm suspicious that you broke the small black wire on the negative battery terminal.

I took it out for a drive today.
It started around 14.7 volts then after a while it dropped down to 12.8 volts.
The voltage behaved as it normally does.
I will definitely check the small black wire and report back on its condition.
Thanks all.

I thought if that wire was damaged or disconnected it would result in fault codes.

Have driven the car a few times and the voltage is 14.7 early in the drive.
After a while it may drop down to 12.8 +/- 1 occasionally 12.6.
The small black wire on the battery looks intact.

For now... I'm gonna keep an eye on it.

Thanks all.

Anything under 10 v means you should service/repair it or get a new battery if it's non-agm battery.

I never understood gm putting voltmeter on dash until my battery died recently. It's very sudden.
