Among brands tested, non-TOP TIER gasolines caused 19 times more engine deposits than TOP TIER brands after just 4,000 miles of simulated driving. Such carbon deposits are known to reduce fuel economy, increase emissions and negatively impact vehicle performance, particularly on newer vehicles.

What's parts bin about it? The hood, front end, and possibly the front fenders and rear panel are completely different from the Z06. Not to mention the whole new aero set up. It might have the same fenders but that's not a big deal, the Z06 shares fenders with the Z06 too.
Can someone explain this? The C6 ZR1 shared parts with C6 Z06, hell pretty much every high performance variant/range topping model shares parts with the "lesser" versions.

If you are a horsepower junkie it is the one to get.
It's not for me though. Living where I do and only realistically being able to track my car 3-4 times a year, a Z51 makes the most sense due to the availability of all season tires that I can run in the winter months. I have two other vehicles but the thought of my Vette sitting in the garage for almost half the year is a show stopper.

Yes. The ZR1 will likely be a big improvement over the Z06 in every measurable performance category. It will also likely also have better cooling for the track and better resale value.

And I'm a firm believer of getting you want, and enjoying what you have.
We'll see some Z owners, though, try too hard to convince other people why the ZR isn't for them. Which will be humorous. Because it's not needed. Nobody in here cares what other people decide is right for them.
I'm looking forward to seeing the ZR - and the ME, if they decide to build that one. It's a great time for fans of sports cars.

Spats? Those who think it will not have them "might" be disappointed. Take a closer look at the end of the splitter. I doubt that it would protrude that far from the lower fender without some type of extender. It certainly isn't a finish product. The splitter will eventually have to butt-up to another part... possibly similar to a Stage 3 winglet-type piece, but it's missing something.

With regard to the re-designed front end and larger hood....

So wait a second, the car is ugly and has tons of Z06 parts? What??? The ugly part is subjective so that doesn't matter (I like it personally), but are you really upset at the fact that it shares parts with the Z06?
