These are cars spotted testing on race tracks against other models.

The ZR1 is about to get announced.

The mid-engine car is coming, but it could be a month and it could be a year before we know anything.

One thing is for certain, this forum is absolute crap for 'inside news' with all the speculation that gets posted about someone's brother's friend's cousin, who's definitely in the know. The handful of people who might actually know, they don't help at all by posting crap like 'soon', 'you'll see', and 'maybe'. The fact that they might know something is irrelevant since they can't share, which makes it absolutely useless for them to post anything at all.

Stick with the facts people. No evidence? Stop wasting everyone's time.

When the horses mouth gives you a heads up about the horse, would you believe the horse?

Let's see what gets revealed in a week from now, I'll be the first to apologize if it is not the ZR1 and/or mid-engine Corvette.

Could the "ZR1" camouflaged cars have been a decoy to keep the rumors swirling? The latest plant pictures of the front and rear bumper cover clearly belong to the camouflaged mid-engine cars were seeing at McDonald's, etc.. Those crazy tall spoilers on the "ZR1", come on, they couldn't put a subtle spoiler on to grab attention, it had to be big and annoying. I think we were played! I hope we were played! Well played GM!
Not all of us buy a Corvette to sit and look at it in a parking lot while discussing MotorTrend performance figures. Some of us actually track the cars. Shocking, I know.

We've seen pictures of what was clearly a ZR1 (front engine, large rear wing) under a cover strapped down INSIDE a cargo plane. Clearly, this is the ZR1 being flown to Dubai. The Dubai reveal will be the front engine ZR1, not the ME car.

Corvette rule #1, thou shall not race the engine past 3,000 RPM's!

But seriously, everyone should put their Vette on a track at-least once!

You're right, it is out of control! I wouldn't have created this thread if the source was not credible because of the madness. But, like any information that pertains to the future of Corvette, people want to know! Imagine the forum without rumors

I am not anti-ZR1, I would love to see a ZR1, I'd love for it to be mid-engined more. And yes, demand for a New Vette is very low right now, there's no denying it, it's a buyers market!

You might be right! People thought it was heading to the Ring, but maybe it was going further east! I don't think it will be in camo form in Dubai tho. Mid-engine or not, I can't wait!

Zymurgy is spot on, that it will be the ZR1 revealed in Dubai.

The mid-engine is so far from ready now! However, for those with patience for it, it will be revealed just 436 days from now at NAIAS.

Guess I need to start saving my loose change so I can buy one after the reveal. $229 dollars per day in loose change and I'll have almost $100,000 by the reveal.

For the life of me I can't understand the marketing rationale for doing this in Dubai.

Perhaps because *all* the supercars in the ZR1’s (or ME’s) class are from Europe? And Dubai is the richest and most upscale city in that part of the globe, lending exclusivity and a sense of occasion to the reveal?

At the risk of being called a raciest , Dubai? Really? F the American working man who is the ONE reason this car exists. I'd be happy to wait another month or two for a state side reveal.

While its not true, this statement is the exact reason they SHOULD NOT unveil the new ME car in Dubai.

Way too many folks think the ME redesign is the end of normal folks owning and driving vettes.

Its quite the opposite and the word needs to get out. Its the begining of normal working folks owning and driving ME supercars.

I bet if they unveil anything its the 'last hurrah' ZR1 FE car.
