Hmm, your assumption is a new A10 mounted in a Vette will be perfect! Perhaps they should just install an A6, it had few reports of issues! Better yet and my only option, an M7!

Easy, like they did for the Z06 vs Base; change 1st gear ratio based on torque (and others for a reasonable spread) :
Base, Z51, GS 1st gear= 2.97:1
Z06 = 1st gear 2.29
Based on Torque ZR1 ~= 2.0:1 1st gear; we'll see! No doubt still would be tire limited off the line!

All articles I have read said both A8 and M7 are carry overs from the Z06 including ratios.

If that is accurate they obviously want to work within the existing platform to make the ZR1 that much more affordable just like Mopar did with the Challenger body style and then going to the Hellcat, Fatcat, and Demon (same base Challenger platform). Does make sense I guess but man the A8 trans in the ZR1 better be BEEFED up, b/c it took a dump in my old 2016 C7 Z with auto trans with only 6,400 miles on the clock, and making considerably less power.

That wing on the back look silly. Has GM solved the overheating problems yet or are they just hoping enough people will bite ?

The wing I like. It's the flimsy looking, tacked on end plates on the front splitter that bug me, but I guess they can be left off.
