Ah, the wing. Guys, that wing is what will allow the ZR1 to take back the top lap times at Laguna and Willow (assuming it can beat the new 700HP GT2). The ones currently held by a winged Viper.

This car is designed to be tracked. If you buy it and don't track it, don't blame the wing that you are a poseur, to use Tadge's word.

For the record, I'm no fan of guys who put wings on street-only cars.

To all those complaining about the wing, This car isnt for you. Dont be that old fart who buys this car to take to the golf course or putt on down to the local cars and coffee going 55 MPH. Youll get laughed at. This is an ACR Viper competitor, Simple. Its a street legal race car.

Can't wait hopefully I am still atop a list for one of the first.
That is awesome!!! Please post pics when you get it!!!

Tadge said some time ago that it wouldn't fit.

Indeed. I can't believe the complaints about the wing. Simple....don't buy the car. Or buy the one with the smaller wing.
With the Z06, guys could buy the Z07 package and not lose the trunk. The "wing" pretty much guarantees that everything loaded into the trunk will be done from the side of the car.

No, I hope they do. Chances are they already have an extremely lightly used Z06 that I can then buy on the cheap.

I am not a wing guy on most cars. But a car where the wing actually has a real purpose and the car can benefit from it, I have no problem with it.

No, it is not a "competitor."
Sadly, the Viper is a dead car.

Not really, this is an attempt to rectify the screw-up of the Z06 when Tadge and GM Marketing tried to sell it as the most "track-ready Corvette ever."

Not willing to engineer a way to bring it to this car tells me it's a low production vehicle with a limited lifespan.

Better grab one while ya can, Boys!

Buy the Callaway and save some dough.
No offense to Callaway, but I don't think the Callaway would perform like this car at all. Not even close. That's just my opinion.

Time will tell, of course, but I would be VERY surprised if it did.
For one thing, I don't believe Callaway has access to a Wind Tunnel of the quality of GM's.

WOW, the C7 ZR1 is nothing short of oustanding! What a BEAST this car is going to be and what a great time to be living as a go fast, high performance super car, speed freak, during these wild GO FAST car times!

Enjoy it while we can, these cars just can't keep on going up in power every year and getting faster and faster, not to mention EPA rules, gas guzzler rules and taxes and every increasing crazy insurance rates!

With the wing , I see no point in the removable roof either.

Why not fixed roof and fixed hatch if you get the big fixed wing.

Then only real racers would take the big wing option, or am I thinking wrong?

Post your political comments and name calling in the proper section. These types of comments ruin the post for those of us who care about Vettes and not this stuff.

To the naysayers I say that I am very happy GM continues to invest heavily in the Corvette, both in upgraded factory and in R&D.

Things continue to look bright for our beloved Corvette.

Thanx, just what I needed...your inane and ignorant B.S.

Now, if GM just had people who consistently gave a damn and actually knew anything build and service them I'd seriously think about it. As it is, my new '18 is all I'm willing to invest in ANY GM product.
