Thats great if so.

Meh, so I guess it will be just a lil faster than the z06 in the straight. Cause more downforce will kill the hp difference between them.
This is bad cause even the standart Z06 is pretty slow on high speed. I thought this would be a straigh line beast like the previous ZR1, but they made another track car... Too bad they think the parachute in the car is a good idea... I'll wait for the C8.
Downforce and drag are not the same thing.

I can say the new ZR1 with standard wing will outperform the Z07 in racetrack and it can reach +210 mph on top speed

I like it
this is what I am waiting for

Convertible loaded ZR1 probably $130,000.

The 210+ MPH for the ZR1 compared to around 190 for the Z06/Z07 version tell us it is so.

The ZR1 has a top speed of over 210, the Z06 with the Z07 pkg is about 180- 185, the ZR1 will kill the Z06 in a straight line and the last ZR1.

Sure is an incredible car and quite impressive in terms of controls and thermal management.

But man I’m going to miss everyone’s “insider Info”

I wonder if GM wanted this to be a "spare no expense" beat everything out there or was price playing a huge factor. I would've gone with CF wheels to trim a couple dozen pounds off the weight as well as CF shelled, thinly padded seats (perhaps as an option) and a Club Sport version that is bare bones.

I'm wondering the same thing. It sounds like it has the potential to be an amazing track car. Hopefully, there won't be any C7 Z06-like surprises.

yup, as much as I love the Z, I was underwhelmed with it's track numbers. Before it came out I was saying that it would beat a 458 for 1/3 the price....boy I was wrong.

I love the look of the Sebring Orange Design Package, although I'm not 100% sold on the wheels. The ZR1 should be a track monster, I wonder how bad the dealer markup will be for the first year.

A lot of new stuff, even the exterior roof shape. The exhaust note sounds a little different too. Great looking and sounding ride

For everyone asking about pricing, this was quoted in motortrend article.

Pricing has not been announced but could easily exceed $130,000. The 2009 ZR1 started at $105,000; a carbon fiber package alone added $15,000. The 2018 base Stingray coupe starts at $56,490 and the Z06 starts at $80,490. Juechter said the ZR1 won’t be double the price of the Stingray.
If we are to believe this information to be true it sounds like ZR1 base price will start under $113,000.
or at least that's how I read into that statement
