Answer: to know just how good or better something is, you need a point of reference. What else would you compare the new top performance vette to if not the last one?

Next question. I'm feeling generous.

I don't understand why they have to knock their OWN product, just show how good it is by knocking OTHER company's similar products.

Since none of us have driven the new car, and he probably has, I’d say he might know wtf he’s talking about? Sorry it hurts your feelings, but....

Compare it to other cars in it's class not his own "son" sort of speaking. You never knock family.

Perhaps Tadge should concentrate on an engineering fix for the A8 issues. I'm not going to buy another GM with an A8 nightmare.

Wonder if his newest will have the same AFM crap with V4 mode? Yeah, that would be a great idea to continue that stupidity.

And people like Tadge why?

He’s a dude, doing a job. He’s kind of a douche, my personal opinion. But he’s good at his job.

I don’t like him for personal reasons. But stuff like this is to be expected. It’s why I don’t think his opinion or statements on anything are valid. He’s a typical executive. Out to show the shareholders he’s worth the money.

Im convinced some people have bad reading comprehension. Tadge said the Z06 will feel sluggish after driving the ZR1. I see that as more of a "Hey the ZR1 is so fast" rather than knocking on the Z06. Either way, they have to market the new car as much as they can. Their job is to sell it at the end of the day.

I suggest you concentrate and read up before dissing him on the trans. They have reworked the 8sp. Auto to shift faster. Read the Motor Trend review...

Some of you really need to get a grip on reality.

Just look around your house. That refrigerator, flat-screen, washer/dryer, smartphone, laptop, etc., that you purchased 1-2 years ago, is now inferior to new products.

I really don't care what is said about other Corvettes. I've owned a C4, C5, C6 and now have a C7 2LT Z51 7MN and I love it. I don't need anything better. I'm sure the new ZR1 will be a better car for some guys and that is fine. I don't care for the wing on the new car. I like the Grand Sport and the Z06 but not the cost or the TIRES! To each his own, enjoy what you own.

Electronics are notoriously bad. Things are outdated before they even come to market.

I'll put my 65" Panny plasma up against anything out there today. Black levels, color, motion blur, warmth I got nothing to worry about. I am in Costco once a week and constantly are looking at the 40 tv's they have on display and none of them could get me to get rid of my plasma.

After driving the ZR1 the Z06 will probably feel sluggish. I prefer the truth rather than the typical BS that’s constantly spewed for appeasement.

And the carbon fiber is centerline matched just like the 4 million dollar Pagani and Bugatti's. Another level of detail that is normally on million dollar cars. Amazing.....

I've gone from some very fast cars to an even faster car. When I get back in the first car, it feels like it's broken.

The Z06 is an effing 650hp car. Saying it feels slow compared to that isn't knocking the Z06.

JFC, Z06 owners must have the smallest penises on Earth.

So how many years do you suggest GM puts R&D on hold, while other manufacturers surpass GM while GM sales drop?

No, you are now discussing feelings!

I will still take the “sluggish” model for $40K less and be very happy.
