Dubai International Auto Show ZR1 Reveal
Unofficially, I've heard from a good source that the Dubai International Motor Show, Nov 14-18, will be the first global reveal of what may be a mid-engine Corvette. I could be wrong, they could be wrong, but it might be worth paying attention. The first US reveal may very well be the LA Auto Show, Dec. 1-10.

Alright people, this is going to stop and it's going to stop now. I've delete the BS.
If you can't have more respect for each other, I'll just hand out early holiday vacations and call it done.
It truly amazes me that you all can't show more respect for each other. You'd rather start a pissing match IN PUBLIC and make yourself look just as bad as the other guy.
There seems to be a rash of this lately in the C7 Community and it's going to stop immediately.

"In honor of jpee"
Either venue (Dubai, Los Angeles) is ok, but I sure would think NAIAS in Detroit would be better altho it is quite a bit later. No reason to NOT generate excitement now (maybe people will spend less for the holidays and save up for the X Corvette!).

Fitting, I suppose...Dubai is where all the folks live who'll be able to afford a ME Vette.

In the C8 section they were talking about the ZR1 reveal coming soon and from what I gathered it was going to be in Dubai, so I’m sure it’s just the ZR1. ME is probably a year behind the ZR1

I asked my source this same question, they specifically mentioned mid-engine. Could be wrong. But, I don't think we need a ZR1, how much more power could we put on a front engine, rear drive platform and keep it usable? Could the "ZR1" camouflaged cars have been a decoy to keep the rumors swirling? The latest plant pictures of the front and rear bumper cover clearly belong to the camouflaged mid-engine cars were seeing at McDonald's, etc.. Those crazy tall spoilers on the "ZR1", come on, they couldn't put a subtle spoiler on to grab attention, it had to be big and annoying. I think we were played! I hope we were played! Well played GM!

Also, my source explained that if it were just a new spin on what's already available, it would have been named. But because it is not being named, it is likely something totally new. Hmm... big plant shut down/re-tooling, very short 2018 model year, very early 2019 model year, mid-engine prototypes in camo at McDonalds, pics of mid-engine body parts in the plant, and now an announcement of a big reveal... It's time.

The L.A. Auto Show is more appropriate than Detroit.

Maybe the mid-engine is the new ZR1, and camo car with the wing is a refreshed z06 with different aero options, better cooling, new blower, and a modest hp bump (and they put zr1 wheels on it just to mess with us).
