Wow. Surprised to see that most are choosing the M7.
(Disclaimer - I have nothing against the M7, in fact my 2014 Z51 is an M7.)

It's all esoteric to me. I won't be able to afford a ZR1 so I'll keep dreaming while I drive my lowly 86 Vette. First world problems I guess

There is absolutely no way I'm trusting my 120k + car with a current A8. I'll take the M7, no automatic AFM and peace of mind over the 1 second difference in 0-60 time any day of the week.

I went with the A8 in a 2016 C7 Z b/c it was a high 10 second car bone stock, but after driving it for 1 month I realized it was boring compared to rowing the gears in a manual car, and after the A8 tranny grenaded on me with only 6,400 miles on the clock I don't think I could go back to the A8 (in a ZR1).

I wish I could say 100% that I'll be an owner but reading this "limited production" crap is killing my confidence . It's been 8+ years since a new vette purchase so the fund is healthy but I'm NOT paying a mark up.

Just like all GM’s other cars, they will build as many as they can sell, you can get one at sticker, or do what I will do and wait until the hype dies down and get one discounted.
