If past forum practice is followed, the ZR1 will be combined with the Z06 section as it was w/ the C6. That makes the most sense to me, since we're talking about a much smaller number of cars. I don't think there will be enough traffic to justify a ZR1 only section.

and what exactly would the topics be, at this point other than a few numbers everything is conjecture and speculation.

You mean like all the ZR1 threads here now that are taking over C7 Gen?

I agree with the OP’s suggestion.

it'll die down soon enough, there's only so much you can talk about until the car actually hits the streets. Soon we'll be talking about A8 tranny failures and what we did with our C7 today again.

That's right, it's only temporary hysteria, which will die down soon enough. When actual cars start showing up, the Z06 section can handle the traffic.

That worked well when the same thing happened in the C6 era. C7 General is for all C7 subjects, and today was the big reveal of yet another C7 model.

Oh... I don’t know...maybe like ZR1 related ****.....because we all know that there wasn’t an actual...say... C5 Z06...or C6 ZR1 ....or C7 Z06 section until after cars were finally in the hands of Forum members so they’d truly have thread worthy topics to discuss.....
BTW....I’ve been here long enough to have seen them all...
“Conjecture, speculation, rumor, hypothesis”....that’s funny...there’s an actual C8 section...full of that ****...but you are concerned/curious about what Forum members would want to discuss on a new model that was just released, that has been confirmed, to go into production shortly....FOH.
As already pointed out to you, It’s already going on, just in other sections.

If you look at the top of this page or any page in the C7 General section, you'll notice (in the red bar above) that you can sort threads by All C7 or ZR1 threads. That's what we're going with for now.
