Unfortunately, even at this price point it still has the same cheap interior carpet.
Car looks great, thanks for sharing the images.

Thanks for the pictures and those holes in the front grills look like they could capture a small animal like a skunk.

What are the chances that this "EX" vin'd ZR1 ends up at Barrett-Jackson in the next couple of years?

Shame on GM!
I'll let the competition finish the shaming:

Wait...you're saying Porsche interiors are nicer than Corvette interiors?
Well, who knew?
I suppose you'll tell me Ferrari interiors are nicer also....

Lol, yes not exactly a revelation but GM still needs a little encouragement. I had a 911 and a couple of Boxster's and even the Boxsters had way nicer interior than my C6 ZR1 or the upcoming C7 ZR1. Boxsters aren't any where near as expensive as a ZR1, so there really isn't much of an excuse for cheap carpets and interior materials when customers are shelling out over six figures. It's like stocking the bathrooms in your mansion / estate with single ply T.P. Just Why?

I'm not complaining about the ZR1s rumored price and I'm not hating on Corvettes. I was born and raised around Corvettes and I've had a few myself. My C6 ZR1 was a performance bargain and I'm sure the C7 ZR1 will be as well. I just refuse to believe it's the performance bargain it is simply because they saved a bunch of money on the interior. Surely they can squeak a few dollars out of the budget for some nicer upholstery without doubling the price.

I do wish GM would get away from their current obsessive (IMO) mixing of materials/textures/colors in their interiors. Just go buy an Audi and copy the interior! And while I'm on it....I wish they would make the outside seat back bolster (by the door) out of leatherette rather than leather. That bolster takes a lot of abuse, even if you're careful on ingress/egress. Leatherette would hold up a LOT better.

I'm not sure how you figure nicer upholstery would push the pice of a Corvette to a quarter million dollars. Porsche charges north of that for some of their cars simply because they can and people will still line up to buy them anyways.

Might be speaking out of my *** here, but IIRC, the difference between the cost of a Porsche interior and a Corvette interior is in the hundreds of dollars, not thousands.
Seemed low to me too, but I read it somewhere......
My guess, is that the reason they don't upgrade the ZR1's interior over the base model is because they don't have to.

you don't needs to spend 250k on the GT3RS to have an interior that look that good...all 911 interior are basically the same and can be optioned out...you could simply have a base 911 with some interior options to achieve this for much less...I think that was his point

Just a matter of time before Porsche, Ferrari McLaren Corvette & others will say good buy to the internal combustion engine. If the 620 mile per charge holds up the rest will need to follow quickly.
