Laugh at them all you want, but those guys pay the bills. I hope lots of folks buy cars like that; it means the ZR1's price will remain relatively affordable.

That's a gift horse. Don't spend too much time staring.

Not a big complaint, just an off hand observation.

Do they all need this much cool air?

That really turns me off, not sure why they decided to change it. I would've preferred the black anodized look they had in some of the early C7 mockups.

I really clashes with all of the silver trim still present around the cluster, radio, shifter, and HVAC

The "bronze" tint looks very similar to what was in my 2005 XLR.

Love the comradery here... you track your car.... oooooo. You go to car shows..... it's a car not a cure for cancer..... why can't you black wheel trackers let other people enjoy their cars without insult? Maybe they raced for forty years and now just enjoy..... and the waxed might be able to buy ten of these so get off your infintile insults........

Welcome to Corvette Forum, where no good deed goes unpunished.

So, you're going "laugh" at a chrome wheel, automatic, convertible ZR1? You know what? The owner is going to LAUGH at you, while you drive whatever you have.
I'm continually shocked at the amount of ego/know it all on this Forum. If all you keepers of "how a Corvette should be optioned and used" want to step up and BUY me a car, I'll happily take, FOR FREE, however you want to spec out my FREE Corvette.
Geez, get over yourselves.

PS. How do I get classified? I have a convertible (which is a problem, it seems). But it's a manual and doesn't have chrome wheels...so I guess I'm semi-OK?

I'm a designer by trade. IMO mixing too many finishes in a car interior, is a big no no. It makes the interior a yard sale of textures, colors, and sheen and look as though 3 different teams designed each feature in a silo. It's not a complete design thought.

It's just plain odd how/why they chose to treat the components differently.

My Z06 already triggers my OCD with the chrome bits vs the brushed aluminum. adding a third would be a non starter. I know they can be replaced easily.

I do. Especially when they have a cursive script corvette chrome license plate frame and the chrome wheels in an automatic with those boring GT seats.

Lots of love here for those who’s tastes differ from their own....

As far as I am concerned, the more Corvette owners the better, better know and better for us all down the road, so whatever someone wishes to option for their car is just fine with me.

Many hate my Z06 because it is Velocity Yellow. Okay with me.

jvp in his post # 21 above, was spot on.

He said 36 pounds and the Z06 weight used is the heaviest possible weight the Z06's weigh about 3450 in 1 lz trim. So smoke and mirrors on the weight comparo. So really 110 pounds the real story!

Please stop spreading your garbage information. You haven't clue one what you're talking about.

More information will be made available at the LA show.

You PASS the acceptability test with Velocity Yellow. If it were the current, horrid, pale, washed out, dull, God aweful pastel Racing Yellow you would FAIL.

After owning a Millenium Yellow and two Velocity Yellow in a row it was a tough day for me when I saw that **** Racing Yellow. I've never owned anything but a yellow Corvette until the Racing Yellow was introduced. No way in hell was I going to spend money on that terrible color. Hell, not even the factory C7R race cars would sport that livery. Just atrocious.

I now have a Torch Red BUT it's not what I wanted...

Ummm, apparently you didn't get the memo. You're not allowed to track a car with chrome wheels. Geesh, some people's kids...
