Thought i saw in MT or Jalopnik that it wouldnt be double the Stingray.

That is 112k ish. So i am thinking 110-112k will be the starting point.

Out of my reach right now but i love what they are bringing to the table. Hoping to score a Z06 on the cheap

My 2011 1ZR was 109,800 plus guzzler tax plus destination and couple of option which yield 113k.
To get to 130k in '13, they had 3ZR and a special edition package (like centennial or anniversary package)

That would be in line with what Tadge said (double the Stingray).

Didn't Tadge say it wouldn't cost double the stingray? So that would mean starting price shouldn't exceed $110,000. 109 sounds good to me.

Here's some back of the napkin I just did based on 2018 numbers.

1LT w/ Z51 = $61K
1LT GS = $66K (+5K)
1LT Z06 = $80K (+14K)

So basically the added wide body adds $5K and the motor adds $14K. Now in reality every ZR1 is going to come with the equivalent of the CFZ/CFV ground effects which are $3-4K and the Z07 package $8K. So you're at $92K for the Z07.

So how much of a premium is the ZR1 over the Z07? $10, 15, 20K? Even at $20K you're still "only" at $112K and I think the real number will be more like $10-15K.

As far as options go you can basically go with what the other models charge:
1LZ/1LT to 3LZ/3LT = $9K
Custom design pack = $3-4K
Comp seats = $2K

So that puts you at ~$127K on the outside.

Then how much for the ZTK package? Maybe $8K like the Z07 package? Not sure it will be that much since the delta is really pretty small in materials unlike the Z07 where most of the cost is in the CCBs. In reality I expect it to be more like $2-3K. However, even going with the most expensive estimates that still puts the car loaded at ~$135K.

In reality I think it will come in at more like $120-125K loaded but I don't see any way to get to $145K.

I would say 6 months. Within 2-3 years you are probably looking at a $40-50k drop in value.

Base = $109,995. Options = Priceless.

And if I happen to be correct, I will buy one w/o options.

I'm going to guess $129,900 for the base model.
Again, this is just my guess.

I like the logic. Start at a 1LZ Z06 Z07 for $92k but think you are missing / misplaced a few things:
- CF Roof (unique), CF lower rear wing, and CF hood all look to be standard. +5k
- Upgraded Engine, cooling and crank +15k
- Custom front end bodywork +5k

I think this will be $119k "base" and $149k fully loaded for a Vert ZTK Design Pack (if that is even an option). But the "base" will have a lot of Z06 options as standard.

As an aside, the C6 Z06 base price MSRP was $65,800k. The 2009 C6 ZR-1 MSRP started at $103,300. A $15k increase (lower percentage increase than the Z06) takes you pretty close to $120k. I do think the C6 ZR-1 was overpriced but this newer version is a beast and will not be cheap.

When the C7 StingRay first came out and hit the dealership, one of the Bay Area dealership were asking about $25K over MSRP They were asking $100K for the 2014 Stingray. I was there and took the pictures.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ealership.html

So knowing how crazy and greedy some of the dealership are, they maybe marking it up to $200K??

14 on the motor is way low then you forgot coolers and plenty of other stuff. The new hood and bonnet is 5k alone.

I think it is 124,000 to start and drifts up to 149,000 or more. How much is that big wing is easy 3-4 or more!

Yes you are correct, and factor in which dealers well get allocation in the beginning, the larger volume dealers while the smaller may not get any, that scenario will drive price. (UP)

I think it'll be right around this, probably a bit more like 102,500. And then you'll have the interior trim levels, plus trans, aero etc and it'll easily climb to 130-140K if fully loaded. To me the difference between the C6Z and C6ZR1 was greater, NA to SC involved more r&d and I think GM thought they could charge more. So I think (hope) it'll result in a lower msrp this time around. It'll be the same way you can build a GS to cost as much/more then a Z and build a Z to cost as much/more then a ZR1.

We'll find out about real world results but have you read the press release or looked at any articles?

Betting a 2ZR A8 will msrp for around 129k or so. Common options run of the mill etc. With 3ZR ZTK 149k ish. $118,999 base 1ZR 7M.

Quick Reply: ZR1 for $145,000???
