I drove a 2018 Camaro SS with the A8 in it yesterday and it really seems like GM is getting the programming down on this transmission after a few model years because it felt great; quick, tight, and precise.

What does driving trains have to do with fitting the A10 into the ZR1?

Because the damn thing doesn't fit ... Honestly at this point in time, nothing short of a DCT/PDK type of transmission should be offered in a car such as the ZR1 with its target audience and cars skill set.
