That just shows what it's capable of in 'perfect' conditions, which is what most 'record' runs are set in, in any sport.

But, I think I was pretty clear when I said: 'avg. 134-135mph...BUT on a hero run probably 140mph.

Either way, the car will be fast...very fast...esp. with the small wing.

Side Note: The 720s qtr time is utter insanity. Seriously wow. Took the P1 and La Ferrari 150-200hp more to run the same number...

100+ hp over the C6 zr1 would add 10mph, apples to apples. However with more weight and more drag, I think we'll see 137ish.

Interesting how many auto media have tried to get the Demon into the 9’s and failed, with many running about 10.5 second/quarters.

And I believe those runs were all on drag strips, as opposed to non prep surfaces where most magazine test times are taken.

Also they said srt wouldn't allow the timer on the strip to be turned on so they bad to rely on the demons self timer.

Tadge said the onstar gps will reduce the hp by about half, on the ZR1, when it detects it's at a dragstrip. He stated they did it because they wanted people to take them to circuits where they belong.

Tadge is a sneaky guy.

The is a Corvette forum, ZR1 Section. The Demon is a different class of car called a heavy *** muscle car. The ZR1 has much more performance in any sports car metric. Hwy romps will have the demon will be sucking dust and trying to keep the ZR1 taillights in sight!

Jokes aside tho trap speed is of interest to me not because I care to go to a drag strip but because it gives an idea how the car accelerates when ignoring launches and traction, ans that includes how it performs on straights within a road course if it was of no interest GM wouldn't have released official straight line specs for all vettes
