Will the ZR1 have a new Clear Window Option over the Supercharger
The Hero Card that was recently produced by Chevrolet has a interesting bit of info that makes me wonder if there will be a optional clear window over the supercharger. I like the centerline matched carbon fiber halo canopy that was shown at Dubai but maybe there will be second clear window option to see the actual supercharger top. Here is the info on the Hero card.
AVAILABLE PERFORMANCE INDUCTION SYSTEM WITH CLEAR WINDOW AND CORVETTE JAKE LOGO
EXTERIOR
CARBON-FIBER HALO HOOD (EXPOSING
CARBON-FIBER ENGINE COVER)

No clear window over the supercharger....just a clear window with jake logo on the optional induction system.

The clear window is just over the air cleaner element.

You could always just take the CF cover off of the SC intercooler and leave it exposed.

I don't think so. There are 4 holes in the top of the supercharger. The CF Halo Hood appears to be part of the engine compartment air management. It must function as a air plenum. Hope we get more info at Los Angeles show on how the Halo Hood plenum works with the supercharger.

Polycarbonate doesn't dissipate heat like CF!? ;)
This new design looks good in its functionality! Every aspect of it is functional in nature. Interesting how that Good Engineering, nicely finished, can look so good with its complexness!
Any and all the pooling SC and engine heat is isolated, and addressed there. It was obviously under there!

People thought it was cheesy on the C6 so I highly doubt it.

^^^ I disagree.....everyone I know that looked at the C6 ZR1 knew immediately that this car was the mighty ZR1. It was more status than cheezy, in my view.

One of my favorite things about the C6 ZR1 the clear hood window! I actually like the entire car! One of my favorite looking Corvettes of all time but I like convertibles and automatics to much and that is why I never owned one.If this car was built with the a CONVERTIBLE and a Automatic I would be in the C6 section still with a paid off Corvette loan!I also like the chrome rims better than black wheels on the C6!!!
OF COURSE THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONLY COLOR ALLOWED IN MY GARAGE!
