Thanks for letting us in on this! My invite must have gone to the junk mail folder. Not that I could have gotten there in time.

I had a big wing once, on my S2000 CR. It was that way from the factory. Nobody made fun of it or vandalized it. I could learn to live with a big wing again.

Sorry this is off topic, but was there any info about potential changes to the other 2019 Corvette models? Thanks.

My one bit of visual feedback is that they could really use a visible carbon fiber mirror option. With everything else being CF the black painted option won't look quite right and particularly with that orange I feel like it needs something to break it up on the side.

Thanks again Jeremy for the time you spent and hope if GM is not giving you a NEW ZR1 for free that you are going to get one for yourself with all the knowledge and time you have spent on the ZR1. My favorite picture is the one below!

What is different about the chassis?

Surprised they say it does not share with the Z06.

Is it truly different or is it because they moved the front fender body mount points along with the mounts and now its "ALL NEW"?

I added the following information to my original post:

The Sebring Orange interior package is $6,995 and includes Competition Seats.

Black interior is the only interior option with the 1ZR trim while all interior colors are available with the 3ZR trim.

The same mirror options that are available with the other Corvette models are also available on the ZR1 (body color or carbon flash). Carbon fiber mirrors is not an option for the ZR1.

The ZR1 Order Guide will be available next week.

Two observations from sitting in it today, the hood bulge is significant and will be a bit of a detriment to city driving and the rear wing does not impeded rear vision at all.

So how big and tall is the big wing? I earlier posted the picture that was/is imprinted in many’s minds, the one in which it looks like it was off something like the Milenium Falcon, towering over the back of the car. For context, going to re-post a similar high wing picture.

However, upon my standing next to it last night, I wanted to share how it is truly integrated is from a height perspective, how it visually fits with the car. First, a side shot, showing unlike that earlier picture, it is not as tall as the roof of the car.

And then, my standing next to the wing (I am 5’11”). So for those on the fence about the big wing, try and erase the humongous, earlier wing images from your mind and realize, it is probably a little less than 4’ tall, and our cars are inches above 4’.

It truly works with the entire car.

Yeah, you could easily have lunch on that wing.

I've personally built an LT1 so I am familiar with the AFM internals as well as the exhaust valves. Realistically, the lifters weigh about 5 lbs total, (I still have mine from the motor build and can weigh them if needed) and the exhaust valves probably weigh 5lbs each also. Even if you consider the removal of the AFM related components on the underside of the valley cover, that would only been another 5-10 lbs. at most we are looking at about 25 lbs. what are components am I forgetting?

I believe you're pretty close on your estimate. Maybe a pinch low but close enough..

I spoke to the Chevy reps in Dubai at the worldwide reveal earlier this month and they said the ZR1 would only be available with comp seats. Where did you hear the GT seats will be available? This would be good news for me as I prefer the GT seats myself.
