^^^ This.....there are too many people on this Forum that overanalyze everything said.....SMH.

Don’t forget Tadge is in the business of selling cars none the less he should compare their latest offering (ZR1) to their closest competitors (Porsche 911 GT2 RS & Turbo S) not to their previous Top Dog (Z06). He is insulting previous buyers and it’s not right nor necessary. I would take everything Tadge says with a grain of salt. It’s an automotive philosophy of what have you done for me lately. Your 2015, 16, 17 and even 2018 Z06 that you had purchased doesn’t matter now. Time to buy the newest latest and greatest. They are only after your money.

Just wait until the mid-level ME variant comes out. Then everything that came before that will be crap. LOL.

People get way too caught up in parsing Tadge's words. As the top VLE, it amazes me how much of his time he gives the community. Most don't.

Sometimes I think people look for reasons to get their panties in a wad. You know who has control of whether you get offended? You do. Only a fool delegates that power to perfect strangers.

Owe I thought he was trying to revive the C7. The last I heard 2017 ZO6's were littering the dealerships!

Lets F-ing talk about that!

...here's a quote from the GM Authority article referenced in the "ZR1 Not Part of Original C7 Plan" thread...

'“When we introduced the Z06, we left it all on the field. We couldn’t think of anything we could do to make this car better than it is. That was true at the time, but a couple years later, we started working on some ideas. What could we do to actually up our game even more?” said the Corvette chief."

It's the product evolution that makes being an enthusiast in these times so great...and so frustrating...because you can expect something better will come...

I agree. I don't see any put down. The reaction is more of the I am upset because somebody said something I didn't want to hear attitude prevalent in the country now a days. What people think is said and what is said can be two completely different things.

Maybe they should just discontinue production of the Z06! Sounds like they GM rushed this model and built a mistake!
lol tell me about my zo6 can’t handle anymore abuse being abused like a cheap *****

You guys need to chill. I don't even own a c7z, I was just pointing out that I thought his comment was strange.

If he felt the GS was so much better handling than c7z then why doesn't GM update the suspension tuning a la 01/02/03 vs 04 c5z (I believe the 04 z06 had updated suspension tuning vs 01/02/03 models),.... simple question...?

Default Everything else being equal!?

The GS and ZR would be somewhat better than the ZO!

Easy Rip-Off!?

That's what the Ring shakes out!

There is a way to put things without insulting your previous buyes/products. We know the.... is better handling /faster/ etc with each new model as improvements are made. Build on it, don't tear it down

My local Chevy dealer has them EVERYWHERE! Face it, GM dropped the ball with the new Z06. A track car that you can’t track.

I think the Z06 was done in haste. They couldn't meet emissions targets(exact quote) for the power they wanted so they slapped a small supercharger on. The result was an amazing car that overheats when driven hard.
The ZR1 looks like it had a lot more development.

The C7 ZO7 sales cashed in on the C6 ZR1's legacy, popularity of automatic transmissions, and the car market. Screwed up and guys still bought the concept!
TIMES HAVE CHANGED and competition is driving (excuse the pun) the market again!
The ZO6 brand now forever tarnished with the ZR1 the hero, yet again!

Great news for ‘14 - ‘17 Z06 owners with FE7 suspension. I expect well worth the $350 US.
