Hopefully Pobst will run it at Big Willow so we can see what improvement is found over the "regular" Z06

If those Big Willow numbers translated to the 'Ring' the 720s would be a 7:43.xx. Give or take...Naturally just an assumption.

Those numbers seem a little suspect...Z06 slower than a TTS...Don't see that very often on ANY track. 720s nearly 2s faster than the FGT on a SHORT track?? Seems hard to believe. Also the 720s being 2.5s faster than the 675LT on a SHORT track seems hard to believe as well. It might well be faster...but 2.5s on a short track is a country mile.

There is bound to be a supertest somewhere that includes the ZR1 and GT2RS. Only a matter of time.

Ford weighs in! ;)
I didn't see the Ford! Getting Good!
1. Dodge Viper ACR (Mk V) Chris Winkler 1:21.24
(The ZR1's supposed to be faster!)
That was the old ZO6 time?!

I know different days has a huge impact...but it's still A LOT. Then again the C7Z test at MRLS was done a on 'green' track and even the ACR-E was 2s slower than it's record lap...so I guess anything is possible.

The NFGT just set a new Lightning Lap record with a 2:43 flat. There's a big thread about it on the Ford GT Forum. Just as an FYI, they were very unhappy with the results at Big Willow, claiming it was extremely hot when it ran. I have no idea if that is accurate.

It was in November, I think.

That's the Car and Driver Lightning lap I believe.
Winkler put down a 2:40 in the ACR-E as I recall.
When cars are this fast a lot is condition and Driver dependent.
More than likely I will smash every single Ford GT I will ever see on the track since that number is probably going to be zero.

Agreed.
I don't think these track record comparisons mean too much unless they were all tested on the same day, with the same track temp.
How true!

It's been too long I forgot why I said it and don't really want to research the pages to remember. So carry on

I just sent a PM to a friend who was prepping his spec Cayman this past weekend. On the lift next to him was a GT2RS. I am already checking if we are going to see it on track with us. My guess is probably not but worth an ask anyway.
