The GT2RS is an investment and the ZR1 is a depreciating asset.
I'm thinking nobody in their right mind is going to want that obsolete POS, Now! Even though Porsche had an eLSD in the 928 it is missing in the 997 GT2 RS. Where is PDK - Aero, & AWS!?

Given enough Boost, there will always be room for a lower cost fuller butt dust magnet GN (add that easy lighter straight six engine compartment Big *** Turbo room)!
The 997 GT2 RS platform has no such utility! It's just fraught with danger.

Some of us are more sophisticated than that! Pike's Peak - BE THERE!

And parse this:
  • Same smog certifications
  • Total price
  • Roll bar
  • Fire extinguisher
  • (Callaway SC?)
  • Same streetability

Thought I was spelling that wrong, but I'm a very bad speller. Spell check was of no help I do have other intellectual skills though.

Since I'm fairly certain nearly all of your knowledge comes from Google, I'll just point out that you should have Googled "Turbo Buick" before posting. The LC9 is a V6, not a "straight six".

You can easily add 150 bhp to any turbo Porsche without taking up any more room......a tune and meth kit will see to that.

I added 200hp to mine with just billet turbos, exhaust and tuning.

But, that's not what we are seeing at The Ring these days! They aren't even laying down all its power until the final straight. They micro managed every aspect of that run, and yes Electronically. The shocks and suspension are keeping it flat in all four corners individually. Add AWSteering, ABS brakes, and dynamic engine mounts; It is all controlled like no other for all those Porschephiles, and their money!
On the straights it's using HP momentum over torque twist exclusively.
Into curves its using a stability corner braking.
Most significantly they have the eLSD locking the wheels on curve exiting.

They've conquered it, but only in a very emphatic deliberate way!

Just sneaking up the turbo boost in the 997 GT2 RS is even more suicide for its purpose!

And will always be 2-3 times more valuable. I like the new ZR1 but Vettes just don’t hold value, great bang for the buck though.

an air cooled '97 turbo is worth more than a new ZR1 and there's a reason for that. As much as I love the C7 it is no where near in the same class as a 911 and for that I'm glad for if they were I wouldn't be able to afford a new one.

Amazing how guys (and/or Trolls!) set themselves up against written facts and try to blame it on me!

Outs the window! IE And this is relavent Here: A guy said the GT2 RS had its Nannie's off at The Ring! I said it at least had all its chassis stuff on. I looked it up to find out it uses stability braking into the curves, ALWAYS!
I knew it because I Know The 911. Those tall tweaked (especially rear) tires couldn't be getting through those curves all by themselves!

And my aforementioned relative Grand National concepts still essentially work! I saw one of those things at a Cars and Coffee recently, but, sorry I actually don't stare at Old cars!

And

I've always thought if they did Turbos instead of cylinders the Vette would be Way ahead!

^^^^^^^

Conversely MANY thought "push rods" "V8 architecture" and classic "bore/stroke" ratios would have been obsolete and obliterated years ago. And here we are discussing how close track-worthy the 120K ZR1 is to the "next level" (in price) 340K+ titanium pipes RS...

Maybe S/C will prove to be the "best" thing for Corvette as well..
