Default Furman Forum Day at the LA Auto Show (Pic Heavy Post)

What started as a burning desire to see the ZR1 at the LA Auto Show quickly blossomed into plans for a day trip from DFW to LA with my friend, Tweety Berg. This quickly morphed into invitations to friends Bell (Kansas), Elegant (Oregon), Furman (Maryland), the Corvette Blogger (Florida), and then to anyone and everyone who wanted to join in on the adventure!

Most of us were in and out the same day. The show was awesome, but visiting with old friends, meeting forum friends face to face for the first time, and making new friends is what we will all remember long after the glory of the ZR1 fades into the past.

The following photos and videos are specific to our time with each other and the ZR1. I have quite a few photos of other vehicles but will post them in a separate thread in an appropriate forum section at a later date.

Awesome job Jeremy. So great to meet you, John, Steve Bell and so many others. Well worth the trip...even if I came home to 10" of snow on the ground that required shovelling

Thanks for the pics!

Nice to see "tweety B" in them! Him and I shared some emails as we have the same large "Jake" skull on our yellow stingrays and he's on FB too although I haven't logged on in a while.

The high wing looks soo much better than the low one!

I was hoping the orange would be more "bright" like a lambo orange, now it seems like it only looked that way in Dubai due to lighting.

Why didn't they make the ZR1 logo like the one on the big screen? Why the separation of the Z and R? Or why not make the logo on the screen as seen on the cars on the stage?

oh well.

I'm trying to get him to be active here too.

It is a bright orange but the lighting was a little dim at the show in my opinion.

Jag - as always, thanks for the high quality pics. As much as I wanted to see the North American debut, the 5000 mile road trip was a bit much...
